So not actual GVR4 but I'm getting a really good deal for same but base model galant, it's automatic and I think with SOHC 4g63. I have couple 7bolt blocks and heads and I was wondering how hard it would be to convert to 4g63t and then to 5 speed manual?
Thank you in advance.

It depends on the year of the galant and the 7 bolt you plan to use. 92 and under galants will need a engine that utilizes mounting provisions on the engine like 1g dsm. If using a 7 bolt engine found in a 2g dsm. You'll have to fabricate your own mounts to make it work.
Fabrication is not a problem for, I do have -92 block from 1ga GST and 2ga block from GSX, both 7bolts, I was more worried of wiring work and such and how parts are available for these in US

Are the pedal boxes the same for 1G and Galants? I know personally that installing a fresh pedal box is a pain in the ass. The wiring isn't much of an issue, other than some trans wiring. The reverse switch stuff is different. You will also need a manual speed sensor.

Pedal assembly from a 1g to a gvr4 is the same- and any used one you find should definitely have the play fix applied before wasting time installing it ;)

My recollection is that the N/A galants didn't have a knock sensor but it's been a long time, so it'd be worth checking that- Pretty sure there's still a VFAQ about going N/A to turbo, and barring some pinouts, all the 1g stuff applies just fine.

Aside from that @Sirius1995 you should head over to galantvr4.org ;)

nah, it took so long to find or hear any answers that the car got sold already, I'll just stay on DSMs until I can afford a Starion :D
