I know this has been gone over way to many times but I'm having a issue that I could not find. Everything is hooked up the way I read it should be. When I hook my battery up with keys not in my SRS and battery light and some other light are on. The car will not turn over at all. What am I doing wrong.

Got that taking care of I got frustrated and took it off the auto and plugged it in.

Ok so heres where I'm at now. I got everything done the starter turns but won't engage are the sheilds that much different that the starter isn't hitting the flywheel or what? I don't really want to pull the trans back out.

Yup, they are that different.

The 2G AWD 5-Speed plate is: MD167356
The 2G AWD Auto, and FWD Auto/5-Speed are all the same: MD194962

If you don't have the proper plate you're going to run into issues. Spend the $25 and buy a new OEM one and be done with it

Well then I'm in the clear cause I have fwd 2g.
