auto to manual

Hey guys i need some help.I have a 97 gs-t auto fwd. I want to put a 5speed in it. Does anyone have a list of parts and tips needed to make this possible. im also wanting to put a big t28 turbo in. where can i find good prices on a 5speed tranny and a turbo? any advice is greatly appriciated

Nooo, dont do it. Auto ftw all the way. Fastest fwd atm is an auto and he pulls a better 60ft then shep. Manual trans are weak shit anyway, 3rd gear is the size of a quarter(exaggeration)...

Manual transmissions aren't any weaker than autos, and if it's a daily driver, auto is way too boring.

Sure they are, these 3k "built" trans still have shit stock gear sets. The better 91-92 gear sets, but still factory. 3rd likes to say bye bye at 450lb/ft.

That is for AWD, but I am certain the list of parts is similar (minus the awd stuff obviously)
