auto to manaul swap

ok so i have a 1991 gsx. i bought a 90tsi manual. and i have swaped everything. im just trying to figure if i should hard wire my reverse lights to a switch or should i tap in to another plug. none of the plugs match up like v faqs says. other then that it was perfect. i havent ran it yet thou on im waiting for clutch line banjo coppers. has anyone ran in to this. any ideas on the reverse lights. this swap was alot of work but it will be worth it.

I did this to my 2g when I swaped it to a manual. All you have to do is tap into the wire for reverse on the auto trans mode switch connector, run that to the reverse lamp switch on the m/t ant then to an acc power source.ALLDATA Online - Logon

I ran into the same thing on my 2g. I just ended up making a switch. BUT, the best part is....when someone is tail gating you, you just flip the switch. The result is priceless...

i like that. ok i hook the reverse lights up to the same color wires after going on alldatadiy and checking witch one was reverse. same color wire. but you said a acc power so im guessing i wont have power there cause the compture is gone... thank you both lots of help.

i hook the wires up like i said to the same color wires and it works. sweet. now i have to install a new seal in the trans for the intermidiate shaft cause its leaking bad. im guessing its been sitting for awhile. then a coolant leak and adjust the cables and test drive.

For someone like in my case where I didn't have a plug for the reverse light switch, I would have to use connectors to attach wires to the 2 prongs on the transmission. What color wires go to what prong? I could just tap into my auto plug then.

Just go to the junk yard and get a connector. For an acc power source I just taped into a wire in the fuse block under the hood.

I looking to buy a 2g gsx/gst. my issue is that there are better deal in my area for Atx models. i was wondering if somebody has already done ( well actually there are a few post that i found) it and can tell me what i need part wise and what i need to do. the post i found are really descriptive enough for me to be able to understand what is takes... anybody's information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
