It is basically impossible on a 1g. All of the suspension mounting points are totally different, plus the rear floor is different meaning there is no room for an exhaust and tcase. Do search, 50,000 members and no one has pulled it of yet. RRE used to back in the day, but there are a full on shop, and admitted it's not cost effective.

If you are wanting to switch a FWD AUTO to a AWD MANUAL. You are better off finding 1 with a blown motor, or just use your parts car(if you have a title of course). The time and money you would put in it would not be worth it, unless it was a spider you were wanting to convert, which I think is the only DSM worth doing that much work to the powertrain.

But if you already have all the parts anything is possible. If no one has switched to AWD on a 1g you can be the first to do it. Switching a auto to a manual is easy, making it AWD will be the hard part but nothing is impossible.

Im not 100% on the wiring harness so im not going to respond to that 1.

I personally think it would be a LOT cheaper if you bought a 1g awd manual with a bad engine and just swap engines with a different flywheel and blah blah you know. A lot of fabrication will be needed if you did the whole fwd to awd on a 1g.

Isn't that what I just said
