i have an automatic 95 gs i have an aem cold air intake, megan racing headers and jdm exhaust.i dont have the money for another engine swap so i was wondering if its worth turbocharging it. also another predicament i have is i dont have any practice on a manual transmission so if i do turbocharge it should i swap my pedals or is it ok to leave the automatic pedals?

Well based off your other post I will say installing a turbo would take a lot of reading and learning on your part and I say this with the nicest of intensions so don't take offense. We all have to start somewhere so congrats on wanting to work on your car. Your biggest problem with a stock auto trans is that it is a huge power robber. Going from owning 2 420a manual eclipse's when I drove an auto it felt like a totally different car. Now there are things you can do to make the auto better, however, a lot who start with the auto eventually do the auto to manual trans swap. Both of these options take a good deal of knowledge, and are great to try as a person wanting to learn about cars but are you up to it yet? Swapping the auto to man doesn't require a new "engine" only the tran and a few other parts. What would be best right now is for you to learn a little more about how a engine works try this link and searching google
HowStuffWorks "How Car Engines Work"
Again not trying to be a gerk but that would give you a good foundation to build knowledge on. Good luck.

I would highly recommend doing research on your motor, and how a turbo system works before even considering attempting to turbo your car. I spent months reading on this forum before I turbo'd my car and even then I felt like I should have searched more. If you do decide to convert to forced induction there are many good write ups and knowledgeable people here to help you.

Yea nothings gonna happen anytime soon and if i have any questions i can always ask on here or my father he built a 68 nova by hand so he knows alot abt cars but thx im going to be on here alot

the A604 (that's the auto trans you have) is horrible. its a chrylser designed and built transmission... think about that for a second... a DODGE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. i would strongly advise against it. now if you had that a604 built properly to handle the extra HP, maybe.

but bottom line is i advise against it. the A604 has enough problems on its own without you trying to throw twice as much HP at it then it was designed for.

persoanlly? nothing. leave it as a DD until you can afford/find a 5 speed 420a, or a gst/gsx.
i've owned four 420a's now. 3 5speeds and one automatic. the auto doesn't have anything done to it at all except a cat back, and that's only because i like to hear my car when i drive it.
the 5 speeds on the other hand are rock solid and can handle a lot of power. with only an upgraded clutch, i've had a 5 speed trans handle all the abuse i could throw at it with a 400+ hp turbo monster.

nothing against your dad, and each mans knowledge of cars is different but a corroborated (I may have chosen the wrong spelling on this) engine and an EFI engine are two very different beasts. So be careful on certain info, because it does not translate to well.

if i where you i would do simple bolt ons the jeep tb. a udp . port the intake. a nice cat back exhaust .

And before you do turbo it i would definitely do a auto to manual swap. im in the process of doing it my self.i don't know if there's any truth to the claim im about to make but the neon transmission is supposed to make are cars a little faster.have a different gear ratio.and if you check you local junkyards you should be able to get a tranni for 150 to 200 the get all the interior pieces out of a gs or rs.And you should really invest in a nice clutch setup that should basically be your starting point

but in all if i where you(im in the same predicament ) i would definitely start with the tranni

here is the link to the neon transmission

That would be carbureted ;) I apologize for being a spelling nazi. My fiance is a Ford lover (cheer for Holley carbs!) so when I eventually ask him to help me install my new fuel rail he is probably going to hate it. But I'm going to help him with a 66 Mustang so it's an even trade I think- my girl hands can get into the tight spaces that would give him a headache.
