I care about wheels and authenticity, Three sets or BBS, and going to get some works eventually. With that said I wouldn't buy rotas, except for the slipstreams because trying to find real Spoon wheels is really hard.

The only time I can think of authenticity would matter in a wheel is in material quality. Knockoffs are usually (read: almost always) made very cheaply, and I'd hate for one to come apart at 100km/h.

Cracks, fractures, miscastings, cheap aluminum stock, imbalance, all these factors can put you in a ditch.

That's not to say the manufacturers who they are copying can't produce crap products either.. but I bet anyone a kick to the groin it happens less with authentic pieces.
