I run a 12.9 at 114mph with a 1.7 60ft and an 8.2 eighth mile. I'm in an awd lauching at 6000 rpm. I say.....Bullshit..... to the guy who says he ran a 1.8 60ft on street tires in a fwd.

You ran 114mpg with a 16G. What does your car weight and what track was this at? What was your 1/8 mph?

The fastest 16G time was run in a light weight 1G AWD is [email protected] and he had more mods than what is in your sig. and your just going 2mph slower. If you ask me your car is pretty amazing to do that.

82.81 was my mph at the 1/8. I am in the process of posting up my timeslip now. I work at a ad agency so one of my guys is going to scan the slip when he gets a chance. I also thought that 114 was a little high for a 12.9 so I think it might have been a computer error on the time machine. I was thinking more like 104mph would be accurate. What are your thoughts on that?

Sorry, the car weight is factory, fully loaded, 2g GSX: 3200lbs. for those who don't know. THis was at Tuscola Motor Speedway in big ole' Lena Mississippi.

If you are talking about Jake or "Evil Eagle" then you are stupid. He ran a 1.8 60ft on street tires in a FWD. Good job calling bullshit without knowing though. That's part of the problem here, none of you guys give credit where it is due. Sean Glazer could come on here and you would all tell him to **** off if he didn't tell you what you wanted to hear.

104 sounds more plausable....I ran 12.96 @ 103 last year w/ a 1.75 60'. However this year I could only pull 13.0@110 & 13.1 @109... (engine bog, 1.9 60' ) before the trans self destructed!

114mph seemed kind of high for your 1/4 and 1/8 ET especially in full weight 2G with a 16G. I would have to agree with you that there was some type of timing error. I don’t think you should say that someone else’s time is BS because I thought your time was BS.

Well if you think that my time is bullshit, come to Jackson, MS and put your money where your mouth is. I don't think that your ass can cash the check that your mouth just wrote.
I was not refering to his time, just what he said his 60ft is. I jump anything that I race out the hole at least 1.5 car lengths. There isn't a front wheel drive anything that I have ever seen run near a 1.anything 60ft on street tires.
My friend has the fastest front wheel drive around here. He has a 94 Acura Integra GSR. He leaves on 100shot wet with slicks and still only busts a 1.9 60ft.
So anytime you are ready, come down to the south and get served.

Can you impress us with more macho manly talk?

Guys I don’t see what is so impossible. A local awd guy runs fairly consistent 12.9s @ 103 and this is with a 60ft that is around 2.0 area. There is no reason to think that a fwd car that weighs 300- 400lbs less couldn’t duplicate the same times with some good driving.

Larry just because you can’t do it doesn’t mean it can’t be done. I bet if you let someone with some real experience behind the wheel of you car with some c16 you would see a 12sec slip no problem. The same thing happens to me a buddy of mine consistently puts down a better time than I do. After a season or two of practice I bet things will be a lot closer.

While that is a great time for your mods and all you seem to have a pretty big ego for someone with a high 12 sec car . I would walk you on pump gas but that still doesnt have to do anything with this guy cutting some great short times.

13.4@102

Stock exhaust
Stock injectors
Stock SMIC/pipes
Stock clutch
No AFC
mud and snow tires
5800ft above sea level

What have you run?

I didn't ask what mods you had, I guess that's supposed to be impressive for what mods you have, or the lack their of. To answer you're question I have run a 12.50@108 in the mustang. the talon has not seen the track yet im still building it.

I didn't ask you what you have run in a Mustang. I guess that's supposed to make up for the fact that you like to **** on all my posts even though you have never even been to the track. Since people think actual times are indicative of knowledge I always throw my lack of mods/altitude in so that people don't think I had the entire DSM Shop catalog on my car and could only cut a 13.4@102, like most Mutt owners.

I thought you were actually curious and not just trying to make me look stupid for some reason. Most people who were curious about my time would probably be curious about my mods. I just see that you are being a troll. Maybe I am a good influence on you afterall.

Like yours, my car is a work in progress. Actually it was ready to hit the track but my T-belt slipped while I was tuning the idle. Hadn't even gotten it off the jackstands from the 4 month buildup and it already broke.

Oh well. New engine is on the way.

rdrkt,
son, you aren't getting the point here. The 2g is my daily driver. It runs on pump gas. It looks a whole lot better than your 1g. I also drive a 1g, it runs on race gas. If you want to run, soy when and where and how much you are going to pay me.
This was not intended to turn this post into a pissin contest. I was merely giving my opinion on someones stated 60ft time, and everyone wanted to talk ****. I don't talk ****, but I don't back down either.
Sorry if I pissed anyone off.

Pay you to post your timeslip....? Are you smoking crack? If you want to run for $5000, I'm game. Just don't be surprised when I show up in my 1g. And I really hope that doesn't scare you, because I could use $5000 right now.

Ready in Jackson!!!

you asked me what i ran, and i told you. since i have no times in the talon i could only quote times from the mustang. if you were asking about times in my talon you should have been more specific.

don't think I had the entire DSM Shop catalog on my car and could only cut a 13.4@102, like most Mutt owners.

i had no idea mutt owners were that slow. most i have seen were in the 12.3-11.8 area but i could be wrong.:)

Exactly what I thought, as soon as you are presented with a challenge you wither. Go away and race in "JACKSOOOOOOOON"! LOL.

You had nothing to positive to contribute in this thread then why in the hell did you post anything?
Is this really another dsmtalk?

Not to be a jerk but where are these guys hiding? Is it Md? Because apparently that’s all you see is people running great times with mutts. This has been contrary to most people's experience.

I would have to say wrong unless you can show me these pink unicorns (fast mutts). Fast mutts hey isnt that an oxymoron :)

B8SMAN16GSX: Would you like to tell the rest of the class about your intimidating 1g Talon. If its not doing low 11s @ 125+ just stop talking now.

PS No one would willingly go to Mississippi ;) especially for a stupid race.

Waaah. Boy that was a waste of reading.

Argue via email.... this is one big pissing contest.

I don't care what any of your cars' run.....If you like driving it>>and have fun doing stuff to it....then GREAT!! That's the whole point of it anyways isn't it? "To have fun". I haven't gotten a timeslip or dyno number yet for my car-->But I know it's fast and fun to drive...and I haven't touched what it will/can do yet...oh well. All in due time.

If your only point to building your car was to race for money...and that's all. Then you need to get into the drag circuits and start winning.

Laters
Jason.
