at what rpm's should i be launching (slipping my clutch at)

i have a turbo back apexi n1 exhaust and a dejon turbo intake pipe and I'm running stock boost witch is 12-13lbs and sometimes it creeps to 15. But what rpm's should i slipp at? And oh yea I'm on my stock clutch.

Since you're on the stocker, try slipping at 4000 and work your way up. As you add more power and boost, you'll need more clutch to transfer max power to the drivetrain, but for now you should be fine starting at that point. A great deal depends on the release point and how strong your clutch is. On the street, I launch at 5000, but I usually end up between 5500-6000 at the track depending on how good the prep is. Try a few launch styles and work with different RPM's to see what works best for you and your setup keeping in mind that the aim is to gain max acceleration without breaking the tires loose.

As a point of interest, if you can smell the clutch, it either won't hold or you've slipped too much. If the car bogs, you're either letting the clutch go too quickly or your RPM's were too low and if you spin them, your release was too fast or RPM's were too high.

4K launches on a stock clutch is pushing it. Any higher and you'll fry it for sure. I used to launch at 3500 when I had the stocker in.

what should a gs-t launch at (if its even considered a launch) on a stock clutch?

hold on, are you talking about lunching while just driving around or racing?

if you are just driving around you don't wanna launch from 4000 or 5000, i wouldn't go anymore than 3000

but if you race then you could start slipin at 4000-4500 and go up

I don't know why you think the stock clutch can't take 6000rpm launches... I launch at 6000 at the track or even if I want to take someone at a light. Maybe I've taken some of the life out of it but it certainly hasn't fried, granted I've maybe only made 50 launches like that, and I don't really know if that is a lot or very little compared to how much it can take. I'd think stop and go traffic takes more out of it since your using it more. Anyone know?
