What angle should my CPS be at?

Sorry, I've looked around the forums with the Search and found a few topics that scratched the surface, but haven't prevailed. My biggest question is, do I just stick this thing back in and bolt it in? What angle should it be at when I do this; I notice there are slots so that it can be rotated/calibrated?

First set the engine to TDC. Then install the CAS/CPS, making sure you don't have it 180 degrees out. There are timing marks on the unit itself: the twirling piece has a single "V" shaped end, something like a Pacman mouth; the other is a dot on the body of the CAS/CPS, something like a Pacman pellet. Align it to where Pacman is going to eat the pellet and reinstall. The camshaft has a groove in it for the twirling piece to set in. Pop it in and secure it.

Once you have it installed correctly, with the CAS still loose, use a timing gun and turn the CAS up or down to set the timing accordingly.

Perhaps it is a bad analogy; I thought it was clever. In the picture there, it is the side of the twirling piece that is pointing up. It has a "<" on the end instead of being flat like the other end that is pointing down. You line that up with the dot on the body of the CAS. Then, as okcpopeman stated, you hook up a timing light to get the timing correct.
