What all does the 90' 6bolt use from ARP?

ARP Headstuds
ARP Rod bolts

and what else? Also what is the best grade from ARP to use?

I believe they also make studs for the main caps. As far as I know they only have one grade. Don't have time to check it out but heres a link to their catalog, pdf file.

ARP packages their DSM fasteners as complete sets for each specific year/application (head studs, rod bolts, main studs..etc). You would not need to specify "grade" for these.

Now if you were to purchase pieces individually, then you would need to research the correct grade for the application.

Note that most metric fasterners have a an ISO Grade stamped on them so if replacing a piece, do so with the same grade. Note that the higher the grade the higher the tensil strength of the fastener :dsm:

I'm looking for the highest possible. Any idea what product number from arp that would be?

What specific application are you looking for? ARP has two sets of Head Studs for the 4G63, one for the 1G and the other for the 2G. Both are 200,000 psi rated (>12.9 ISO) the only difference being the stud diameter.

ARP does have fasteners made of different exotic materials up to the 270,000psi range (Page 35 in ARPs catalog) but they are for specific applications.

Also know that tensile strength is but one property of a fastener. Corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, elasticity (and others) are other properties to consider when choosing a fastener. This is why I suggest using what ARP packages for your application instead of piece-mailing something together :dsm:

It'll be for a 90' 6bolt. I want to bulletproof this motor so to speak LOL. I know theres alot to that statement but you get the idea.

Just look through their catalogue with that link I posted. Your looking for the dsm specific bolts, they will all be listed there. Head studs, rod bolts, main studs & not sure what else. All you need to do is read :p

Just get arp main studs and head studs. The rod bolts that come with upgraded rods are more than enough (arp?) and have been proven in some serious setups. If you get arp main studs make sure to get the CRCO dowel kit for the studs. They are specifically made for arp studs installed in dsms. I have the CRCO kit and arp main studs and the fitment is incredible.
