So ls1 383 stroker with i think a thunder cam? Weseico pistons and I beam rods. 500+ hp. Going in an s14/15 caged drift car. The same ppl have a S13 with a ls1 in it making over 500hp.

If for only 500hp n/a, I wouldn't go forged pistons or rods, there are heads cam 346 motors that have 500whp with a stock short block. Look on ls1tech. Trick flow heads and ask pat G for a custom cam and a fast 102 you will have a KILLER motor

You have anything with a small turbo on it there? Something in the t25 - t3 range?

It's the original 12a turbo. I did some research and found thy are not very good. Maybe if our runnin low boost.

Yeah they could have used stockers but its the owners of hollywild zoo so they have no care about money spent.

Well it's not hard to find just take exit 51 towards Gilliam farm(that's a right after you come to a stop from the interstate). When you get to missile base rd take a right( after the right coming off the interstate follow the road until you reach what looks like a 4 way but its really a 2 way) . Follow missile base for about a mile and you will come to a road on your right called Big Four rd. There will be a sign of some sort on the road that says John Morris salvage yard. I think it's an old hood of some sort. If you pass the road just turn around when you get to the end of missile base and it will be your first rd on the left and yes they have really weird hours. Its Wednesday-Friday 8-5 and Saturday 8-12 and believe me when I say this if you get there 30 mins before they close it will be a wasted trip. They won't let you in. When you get there if you listen real close you can here banjo's playing...... this place is real country but has a lot of good old stuff. Lots of classics just wasting away.

1972 Chevelle with a flat top 350 with an rv cam, 5K miles on the motor. I have a comp 280H cam to go with it. The car has dual exhaust with flowmasters, tinted windows and is very reliable! the transmission is a th350 with a shift kit, shifts nice and firm. Megasquirt leaves a lot to be gained...Some people have had good luck with it but I'd take a SAFC over it, and I dislike the SAFC.
 
SAFC is something I wouldn't even consider. I know from reading it is raw and up to the user,
I think I will stick with the Nistune daughter board, it's looks to be the equivalent to DSMlink with a few less features.

Ill just make a new wire harness, I really don't like how the Nissan harness is made. It wraps all the way around the motor and stuff going everywhere. It's a messy layout to say the least.

I would defiantly go ms over safc. It all depends on what you are comfortable tuning or paying to get tuned, full fuel and ignition control sounds good to me

Agreed, I have not enjoyed the MS experience that I had with my 280z. I think that the SAFC running off of boost level instead of throttle position would be a good alternative as you mentioned you wouldn't be running extremely high boost an only looking for a slight bump in HP. The tech article on here about the boot reference is good an they have been doing wonders over at 2gnt.com with a SAFC....shouldn't b that different on a KA-T
