I have the original drivetrain from my '92 Laser AWD turbo with 126k on it. We decided to swap out the whole thing. Mainly it was because I don't work on the cars myself and the labor would otherwise likely have been too much to figure out what was going on with the timing issue. I think one or more of you may be familiar with this since there is a thread on it and there was a very helpful discussion. I thought perhaps someone who lives pretty close by might want the extra set.

Yeah

the underside of this engine is covered in oil. its everywhere and im missing bolts fo the starter and a couple smaller things. nothing pick n pull cant fix i guess. now to figure out where all these hoses go

Yeah, things got a little grimy. Haha. I can look around and see if I can find those bolts. I know they're around.

That reminds me - I have bolts to find too. :p

Well got the AirFlowPerRev holding at 25 and the CombinedFT hovering at 0.0 +/- 1.0 and the AFR around 14.6

I also found out why its smoking as bad as it is... The seals are blown in the turbo, guess its time to rebuild it or find a heck of a deal on another big 16.

ive got some trans bolt and t case bolts laying around here somewhere just gotta find them

i was thinking about going with prosport gauges for everthing in the car but idk ho i would do the speed and tach everything else is easy other then those too

The 16g is super easy to rebuild. I have a rebuilt Evo III 16g. ;P

The Prosports are super nice. I'd look into them. For sure.

Screw 100* Weather. That's why I work in an office.

Honestly can't wait until next weekend. I get to go get the longblock. Hah.

Gonna miss these wheels, though. Then again I did find a nice set of Evo wheels I may pick up.

I hate this hot weather. It was 98 in the garage today, had two big fans going and all they do is blow hot air.

What gaskets are you guys using for the turbo flange and O2 housing? I remember seeing copper gaskets from one of the vendors.

yup my car is in a storage unit and there isnt any power outlets or anything so i just deal with no wind or anything

I just use the stock one that you can pick up from Advance Auto. Give it a coat of copper spray and go.

cool thats what I wanted to hear.

I hope once I get the turbo back together I can get this car on the road to really get some miles in the break in.

I did manage to get the AirFlowPerRev to stay at 25mg/rev and the CombinedFT to stay arond 0 with a AFR of 14.6-14.7

Should be ready to make a cruse log once I get it back together.

Get me a cruise log and we'll go from there. ;)

We'll. We got a good steady idle! Just purrs. It runs a lil rich though (injector 1 is leaking) they all probably will before its over with. I couldn't get the other ones to stop leaking, but then I noticed the top rubber on the fuel rail was so bad it caused the injector to go up in the fuel rail when I bolted it down. I used one of those gromets on the top and bottam on# 4 and it fixed it ;) so I will replace all of them and start driving. Finally!!

Also Kei this type RS greddy knockoff. Under the gold of the bell there is a tiny, itty bitty hole where I do loose some boost. Is this bad?? Or would some jb weld fix it? Other than that it purrs like a kitten even though I only have a 3 foot exhaust with a ylasspack.

Going to take her for a drive tomorrow. Wish me luck I hope therebis no tow homes!

(I occasionally get lifter tick.. but it stops and it is quiet more than it ticks)

Lol yeah good luck bud I'm still trying to get posts for my 3000gt. But it should be drivable to the next meet

I have a 95 EPROM if anyone needs one. Ill make a deal for one of the local guys

I can honostly say. The only good thing in my car is a 90 eprom ;)

Changing the injector seals. Tighning the middle rail bolt up. I don't out any oomph in it (i've took it apart and reinstalled 45 times and I hear a snapp. The middle bolt snapped flush with the head. And it idles like shit. Again. WTF!!!!!!!!!!! Goddamn car. It was ####ing purring yesterday!!!
