Yeah, I mean that's what i've always ran and I've never had issue with them. It's set i'll be making that call and getting them swapped for a set of HKS.



What set are you running?


I have never heard of Kelford cams breaking. I wonder if Delta K272 are being confused with authentic Kelford 272s.

I have HKS 264 cams now, NO FUN. No top end pull. I am on a 2.3 but still, top end got better with JMF intake manifold, but still top end is no where close to how I like it.

Look at how the Kelfords out perform every 272 cam on the market (Evo cam test and AMS cam test).


Are you running a 2.0 or 2.3? How high u plan on revving?

There are threads about the Kelfords snapping around here and there. The biggest name to stand behind this claim is Buschur. Last I talked to him he took a stance on refusing to tune case running Kelfords for that very reason and they fact they have snapped at higher RPMs more than a few times.

Actually good timing. I have a 95 GSX Auto with tons of new parts, rear end included, and mild mods that runs and drives. Replacing the front wheel bearings this weekend just to ensure all upkeep is done right and she'll be good to sell. What are you looking to spend?

I plan on running a set of Kelfords I have. I called kelford and they said the cams that broke had a defect (internal cracks) and was limited to MIVEC intake cams with EHH8 and EHHD and some K20(Honda) cams. This was back in 2008\2009. GSC and Cosworth cams failed too because they are made by the same people.

Clean awds are hard to find around these parts or anywhere really. Good platform to work with - good driving car. 4k would take it. :) autos are better off of the line and stronger overall ya' know.

As for how high I rev? I've touched into the 9k area with no problem what-so-ever. Granted it's only for a second or two, not gonna hang out up there for long. 8k is kind of my shift point when i'm getting on it.

Just to play the devils advocate, I have a c51ph (early jdm gvr4 trans) has the same gear length as an auto (little longer then the evo3) with a good launch it'll be just like an auto you just get the fun of shifting the gears.

BTW, If you're fine with a 1g awd and not the 2g, you can buy mine so I can pick up the sexy ass gvr4.

snag up that VR4!!!!!!! You have 5k?? You could get a deal cut and completely get the maintenance up on that galant. Not to mention you would have a spot reserved at the shootout. And I would be super jealous LOL.

Unless someone has a nice 2g awd they want to trade me over for my 1g, I don't see it happening.

Just put some OG fender flairs from my fairlady on the 1g tonight, I think it looks legit. Was a perfect fit, almost made for it. Save for them being thirty years old and built for nissan, hahaha.

I'm with my friend hilala if I had the money I'd go for that gvr4 :( but instead im dealing with this on my mr2 horrible pic but I installed a new starter and started her up and all my oil dumped from somewhere so now I've no daily.

If you need something you can pull it off mine to get your daily back, its' not going anywhere soon... joy of a drift missile.

Much rather have a fellow tuner as opposed to a punk kid. I tried but the boss knicked the idea.

Love it already 0 miles, they haven't even put gas in it.

Thanks sir I just need to get under her and see where its coming from I must have knocked something when trying to get the new starter in it was easier getting the old one out of the small space than getting the new one in. I'm just:barf: that it idled for a min before I noticed the oil was gone just worried about the bearings.

Also got that mr2 still at that pull apart so I'll try to pull from there first so you don't have to locate oddball piece's LOL
 
Its the 4age, those things are just as legendary as the 4g63. it shouldn't have hurt her to idle on low oil but yeah i'd feel the same way. If for any reason they don't have what ya need, drop me a text and we'll get her going agian.
 
My 3" full exhaust will be here tomorrow FINALLY!

Think ill notice any good gains? :aha: I've got a 16g with intake and dejon SMIC at 14psi.
 
Remember that at the end of the day regardless of what psi you run, it's really all about LPM. 14psi with a 16g will feel a lot better than a t-25 at the same psi. In theory that the more you move out is better so more can move in. But I'm no wagon specialist! :)

Your right about that! This DSM Green is ridiculous at 15psi.
 
I had to call STM because it's been two weeks sense I ordered my fuel pump, and no tracking information. SUPPOSE to be here Friday.


I know your turbo will love it!
Trust me it's good to contact them they have great product but on both my experiences my first time in particular for two weeks I didn't receive my stuff I messages for tracking then my stuff got shipped their not bad but they seem to be lacking on the shipping end and I always have to contact just to get the tracking info :/
