Are the stock specs throughout the 95-99 models the same?

To be more specific, I am mainly interested in the GSX models. I would like to know if the 0-60mph and 1/4 mile times stay the same throughout the 2G GSX models. I have searched this topic but have not found anything. Help would be appreciated.

Well, not an easy question to answer. You see, 1/4 mile times (unless automatic) depend on the driver. You best source of information about the differences between modles and years is going to be the VFAQ. Search through there and you'll see alot of the specs.

The weight, power, drivetrain are all close enough to consider them all one car.

I should have thought about the driver skills factor. I see that there are slight differences between the years (all within 45 pounds of each other). I think those weights are based on the GS though. So were there any extra engine mods or other improvements (besides the improvement of crankshaft issues, which I am still learning about)?

They 97-99 GSXs are all the same performance-wise. There are subtle differences and options but they are basically the same car.

The 99s have revised lifters but that does not warrant any change in performance.

And the Talons are the same as the Eclipses, other (of course) than being so stunningly much better-looking.
They're also a fair bit cheaper on the used market.

It all depends on the driver. I've seen stock GSX's do 15.3 and other times do 14.3. It is all about the driver. I personally did a 14.5at93mph at the track when my car was stock. Oh wait, I had an intake , but that shouldn't shave half a second. Anyway learn how to launch and shift, then you can take any of those AWD models and pull mid to high 14's. I've even seen low 14's. Like I said, its all about the driver.

There are also many other factors to figure in, such as weather, altitude, the condition of the car(both engine and drivetrain), and condition of the track.

Those numbers are basicly the average of what i've seen both online and in magizines of what the stock awd dsm seems to do. The 1/4 mile times for the fwd are close to the same, with the 0-60 just a little bit slower.
