are autometer gauges pretty much the way to go?

That seems to be the trend, but pretty much any gauge is better than stock. just don't go out and spend like $100 for a gauge when a $30-50 will suffice. Not like a gauge is gonna give you more power right?

There are quite a few to choose from. I have the GReddy silver gauges because they have an amber glow to match the stock gauge cluster(kinda). I had an autometer gauge and it was good but I wanted my gauges to match.

Your right, a gauge will not add extra horsepower; however, an accurate gauge is one of the most important tools a highly modified car can have. Some say Autometers suck, some say their fine. It is believed that electronic gauges tend to be more accurate.

Definately, I just don't think $100 for a gauge is necessary. I mean if you like it then go for it but I would save $50, that's me though.

My autometers work really well, and are pretty cheap. If money is your main concern go with autometers. However, I have a GReddy gauge and it's of much higher quality than the autometers. The way the gauge looks, the way it lights up, the stuff that comes in the kit with it are all superior to the autometers. Autometers work just fine, but there are higher quality gauges out there.

I just bought an Autometer Boost and A/F guage with a dual pod for 75 shipped. I'm not complaining.

Autometer is fine for most things, but spend the extra money and go greddy for EGT its just a better quality guage plus its peak/hold with warning light. These little extra feature really can save you.

i think there decent and not bad for the prie. say go for it . heres a pic of mine
