with this ultra lite mechanical silver face gauge i was wondering if it would light up at night... and also what is the big difference between a mechanical and electrical gauge? thanks

Virtually all gauges are illuminated, I don't know if you're asking us what you bought.

Mechanical gauges run directly off the pressure (etc.) of what they're measuring, electric gauges have a sensor that takes the pressure (etc.) and converts it into an electric value, usually through a change in resistance.
