Are all 2g stock taillights the same???

Are all the stock 2g taillights the same (same tint of red, same size, etc.)? I remember hearing somewhere that the size differs a little bit from the 2ga and the 2gb.

The reason I ask is because I am in the market for 2g stock tails. When I bought my car, over a year ago, it came with chrome altezza's on it ! I asked the guy if he had the stock ones, but he was in the middle if moving, and in the process had "miss placed them."
Soooooo...... I am in the market for some, but I want to be educated on the subject before I buy. Any help? Also, if anyone wants to sell (or give! ) any good condition 2g tails they have lying around I would greatly appreciate it!

That is what I figured. And if anyone has 2g tails lying around PM me. I also am going to put up an add in the classifieds. I could just do ebay, but people on there have a strange fascination with only selling one taillight per auction WTF . That, and they are kinda pricey for stock. So again, if anybody wants to hook me up with a good deal, I would appreciate it.

check the classifieds here on tuners, as well as search dsmtrader and post an ad there. Im sure you will be able to find them for a good price from someone parting out their car or someone who just bought a set of tails like yours.

If you want to save some money, you can always dye them. It won't look perfect but the paint is only like 6 bucks. I know a couple guys on here did that and they looked pretty decent.

The part number is the same for all eclipses but they revised the taillight gaskets. I just ordered some replacements and they only ship the same gasket for both sides which has tighter tolerances and doesnt fit the RH as nice as the LH but the lights remained the same.

would probably make some nice lookin tails if you just bake the lens off and paint the "chrome" with some black rattlecan . . . or white even? Just an idea since if it doesn't work out nicely, you didn't really lose anything you weren't going to lose already.

they're allt he same because i had a 95 x and a 98 t.. same

also i have one left side oem tail light for sale.. just the left side (driver side) dont ask why.. i just do.. toss me a decent offer and its urs..
