Anyone with a 2G Spyder have exhaust problems?

I've got a 97 spyder GST with RRE's Downpipe and an Apexi N-1 exhaust. Apparently, the exhaust didn't stick out far enough out the bumper and now my rear bumper discolered black from the exhaust fumes and what not. Is anybody with a spyder having this problem? Is the spyder a couple of inches longer than a regular GST? What could be wrong? Some have said that the exhaust "must have been installed incorrectly" but how could it be? If it is short a couple of inches, how could you move it if it is all bolted all the way up to the turbo? Any ideas?

Thats completely normal and just something you're going to have to deal with. I have the same exact setup as you, with the same black residue from the exhaust. The spyder isn't longer then the other cars and nothing is wrong with the installation.

thats why you should have gotten a thermal R&D check out "my webpage" the exhuast is flush with the body no burn marks

Burn marks dont wipe off with a cloth. The thermal is nice but you've made no mistake going with the N1.
