Hello guys,

After installing passenger door handle, everything worked fine, now the passenger door when i push the button to close it it just close the driver side, i try closing it by the driver side and it wont close the lock either, i have to do it manually or open it by the outside with the keys.

I removed the door panel and checked to see if everything was okay, and the metal bars that hold the lock where misplaced. Im guessing that me trying to open it using the automatic buttons in the doors burned the thing that holds the lock back and makes it opens.

Now after all of that happend everytime i close the car, the green sign that says SECURE (Alarm) in the dash is not turning on anymore, it was just before the door wouldnt open anymore.

Most of the time i try to turn on the car after not have used it for some hours i see that the battery is having problems to turn on the car and i have to ask someone else to give me a hand. Maybe the alarm is working too much thinking that the passenger door is open when is not, and its eating all the battery.

What do you think that might have happened? Thanks.

it is more then likely what you described. I had to do the driver side handle in my car, and from experience they are a complete bi0tch. I suggest taking it to the stealership and have them do it. It might be a little coin, but let them go crazy over it. Door handles in our cars are a real pain, the less you mess with them, the less can get screwed up in the long run.

I highly doubt though that the alarm system is eating the battery, its probably just a bad battery. I installed a viper security system in my car, and left it locked and untended for over two weeks. Got in it, and she started right up. Alarm systems really don't do much of anything, especially our stock systems. Best of luck to you. Do a battery load test would be my suggestion.

well i have already installed the door handle and trust me it was a PAIN to do it. but it works well by opening from the outside with keys and used to open with the button when i noticed that both metal cables where misplaced and now i put them back the the right place but it wont open by pressing the buttons.

when i press the button in the driver side it closes and open the driver side only

when i pressed it on the passenger side it opened the driver side and closed it

but none of them open and close the passenger side door lock.

the window works in both of them, so im guessing that its the piece that opens the door.

hey bro i sounds to me that u didnt put the locking mechanism on the lock it self. When i fixed mine i had a broken thumb and coudnt do it. So i just put it together to drive if you lock the door thats messed up then lock the "drivers side" door in my case it will turn on the security. Then to disarm it you have to unlock the driver side then the passenger side and no worrys. The peice in question is the grey/white conector that goes on the lock itself.

Thanks both of you for the help :) apparently it fixed itself without me doing anything to it.

I think it just needed time to think LOL.ROFL
