Anyone running tein flex's?

The EDFC system goes for around $350 I believe.

What sorts of stuff do you want to know about them or the Flex system?

The EDFC controller goes on top of the shock. It attaches to the adjustment knob on top. The bottom of the EDFC control box contains a metal post that fits in the adjustment knob, which is how the system works.

That price is for the coilovers and the EDFC combined.

True, but that's still retarded expensive. I've heard mixed results when it comes to this set up and I too, like slippi, would like to know if the bang is really worth the buck...

By the way, not to thread jack here, but you're @#$%ing awesome. I have your build thread saved on my comp and it's like my main resource for how I'm going about restoring my car. So, thank you! :thumb:

Yes, that would be the one. Ha. Sorry. I should've been more specific. My head would spin if I tried to do the wire tuck he did, but it's the small stuff like cleaning, powder coating/ painting and general restoration stuff that I've used here and there. That and the cockpit LED conversion is next. :) This is one LONG ass project in the making but it's gonna be sweet when it's done.

By the way, Sean, your build is pretty impressive as well! :)

Thanks. I was like I hope he doesn't use my build for restoring LOL. I don't have carpet AC heat or windshield wipers ROFL

I cannot speak for how good they are compared to other coilover setups as I haven't driven any other setup. It all depends on what your price range is. I liked the fact I could use the EDFC which helps out around PA (crappy roads).

They've been holding up great and give a very good ride. Stiff if you want it, and a little softer if you'd like. I haven't been able to push them on a road course yet, but they performed great in the autox last summer. Combined with the other suspension mods I have, I think it's a really good setup.

Lol..I like that! :D As a matter of fact, I don't have A/C or carpet at the moment...so I kind of could use your thread. Ha. But no, really what I'm working with is a complete shell - no motor, trans, interior, exterior anything. Just a steering wheel and a wiring harness right now. In fact, I have just finished stripping the shit off of the interior floor pan that the previous owner "rust proofed" the car with:rolleyes:. Now, it's time for primer, rubberized undercoating, either an 1/8 or 1/4" of neoprene hush mat (haven't decided yet), ALL new black cutpile carpet and floor mats, and then reinstall the interior (After the body work/paint because an empty interior will make the paint process so much easier).

From there it's on to the engine bay - need to give it a good scrub down and clean up before the body work and paint.

Then on to the motor and trans build and I should be good to go. I will have successfully completed a restoration and full 2gb conversion on my Eclipse from the ground up! This is why Eric's, yours, and anyone else's builds that I have come across have been somewhat influential, if you will. They helped me narrow down what works and what doesn't. So, it's cool.

Also, along the way, I have been taking pictures so I have a progressive album to compile and show the work that I have done.

I can't wait for next spring :).

Great to hear. Thank you. :)
