The glass gets removed and instald (R and I). If car didn't have a factory sun roof then it wont have the lipformed in the roof skin.

I think I understand... The roof skin needs to have a "molded depression" around the edge of where the sunroof glass mount goes, for the proper fitting of the glas when closed?
If that is correct then we are not simply talking about cutting a rounded edge hole in the roof, placing the trim moulding in that and then mounting the glass & rails on the brace?

## getting closer. The factory dsnt have a moulding on the roof. The weather strip is on the sun roof glass. The lip on the roof skin gives it support. With out out it no seal,it would be flimbsy. And u could cut your self since it is just thin sheet metal if you stuck your hand out out it.
