anyone mod the wastegate actuator?

Right now my actuator on my 16g is starting to open alittle at 5psi. I have a actuator from a t25 that I was thinking about cutting and putting a stiffer spring in there. I know It will need some work to fit on a 16g, But has anyone put a different spring in one?

Why wouldn't you just use a MBC? My stock actuator was opening at 11psi until I dialed in a cheapo ebay MBC to 15.

Put some washers between the bracket and the turbo housing to preload the actuator.

Even with my mbc, it still opens early. I think my actuator is just goin bad.

If you find an adjustable WG actuator, you can go that route. I recently hacked 1/2-3/4 of an inch off of mine as my WG was always open. I wondered where my spool went...

Well im gonna try and do it. I took it apart, just have to find a spring that fits and is stronger. Ill go to hardware stores tomm and see what they have. I will also be able to hold more boost ###### with a stiffer spring. Im goin for like 20psi to open it.
