hey guys sorry for the delayed response i had to go out and drink to ease my mind...

yeah so i did the compression test and i have literally ZERO compression for all four.... so im not sure what im going to do at this point cause i need a car ASAP... im going to pull the head off tomorrow and check to see if its just the valves or if its the pistons as well but im officially in the market for a "clunker car" know anyone with one???

You can find a beater on craigslist. eastern panhandle cars & trucks - all classifieds - craigslist

LOL yeah i emailed a couple guys already...

is it possible for a car to be out of time and cause there to be no compression? like the valves open when they should be shut and cause there to be no compression?

yes it is but if you are dowels up and the crank is at tdc you cant really be off.

if i were you i would get a jeep, i just paid 800 and shes solid as a rock and will tow the dsm one day :)

I'm not an expert at all so take this as a simple suggestion. I had a similar problem that sounded just like that with my 2g after installing some mods including an afpr. I got some ridiculously low compression numbers and the probolem ended up being that my fuel line to the afpr had a leak and was not allowing the car to start. Mayb you should check you lines from the fuel pump to the fpr?

1995gsx - funny you suggest a jeep i wrecked mine into a deer at 80 mph and traded it for this tsi but they are some tanks thats for sure hit 2 deer / sheriff / and a small tree falling from the woods LOL

raymos - i have the stock regulator plus i have zero compression so i doubt it could be from that but hellifino.... LOL

i actually had pretty much the same problem you have when i got my car, it was pretty messed up when i first got it, but now it runs like a champ. I'd suggest double checking your compression test, I don't personally know much about them but zero seems kinda difficult to believe, even with a HG blown to hell I got 50 on the affected cylinders.

however, it definitely sounds to me like compression is your problem, as everyone else has said.

in my case, i took the head off, had it freshened up at a local shop, new head gasket, new intake gasket, re-worked TB with new gaskets, finally got everything put back together, turned the key, and she started right up.

when i say NOTHING will ever be able to compete with the satisfaction of that moment. I mean NOTHING.

best of luck to you sir, if you can't get it to run after what you have to go on now, feel free to pm, i don't know as much as some people on here do, but I've been in pretty much your exact position so I may be able to help you a little more efficiently

well thanks everyone so far im going to pull the vlave cover and take some pictures and ill let you guys see before i go pulling the head off

***** i was just thinking i had a friend crank it over and they did not hold it at WOT while we were testing the compression would this cause a bad reading? or cause there to be 0 across the board???

AKIRA235 - - ill be in touch with you man cause i dont plan on getting rid of this beast just yet but it will prob sit for awhile until i get some money to fix'er up LOL

if a compression checker rises and then falls it is missing or has a faulty check valve inside of it.

ASRDAVE - - yeah i pulled out of a gas station and t boned a sheriff LOL more to the story but you get the picture LOL best part was all it did was break my driver headlight and the jeep DESTROYED the side of his 08 dodge pickup LOL

RAMSACK - - the gauge didnt move at all but im wondering if it would be because i didnt have the throttle open or does this not matter?

having the throttle open won't create zero readings. blow an air compressor into the tester where it screws into the spark plug hole and see if it holds the pressure. it really just sounds like your engine is screwed from zero compression. how long has it been since this thing was run? i've seen engines that have sat for a long time and have zero compression, and eventually they will fire and free up the rings.

RANSACK - - from my understanding its been at least a year since it has ran... yeah a while LOL.... i know the tester was working properly i checked a friends car while she was there to make sure it was working properly and it checked out...

*****UPDATE*****

ok i pulled the valve cover and a tear came to my eye this head looks BRAND NEW but the intake side rockers are just chilling not even touching the camshaft plus one on the way to the left (if your looking at the motor from the front L=passenger side) isnt even sitting where its suppose to look at the pictures below and see what you all think....

the lash adjusters appear to be collapsing because they don't have any good oil pressure going to them. you won't build compression if your valves don't open as well as them being bent. that rocker that's not even on isn't a good sign, but it could be install error rather than valves smashed.

what would cause the rockers not to even touch the cam shaft? cam installed out of time? im lost at the moment what you mean by lashers collapsing so ill do some research and read up on it but hey man thanks for checking it out for me and giving me a idea of what i have going on
