Has anybody heard of "Real Street Performance"? I stumble upon this seller on ebay and they have alot of brand name stuff like garrett, pte, and turbonetics for a seemingly good price, like this precision 5431 50trim turbo with Tial Q bov and Tial 38mm wastegate for $1000...is this a good turbo and deal?? I know the wastegates go for about $225 and the bov is $250-300, but what about the turbo? is it any good? They sell it alone for $660, so this apears to be a bit of a steal is it not? heres a link to the package Precision 54mm T3/T4 Turbo Kit WG BOV Eclipse GST GSX on eBay.ca (item 390228243244 end time 18-Dec-10 11:06:53 EST)

It looks nice but I have problems buying things from these companies.

extreme psi does pricematching...think they would match this?? as i would rather support a supporting vendor, and extreme has already treated me well in the past for alot of my purchases...and like how they will help me next week with the BC cam/spring/retainer deal you somewhat steered me to yesterday LOL thanx bud!! LOL

ExtremePSI and Slowboy Racing are pretty much the only vendors I go through due to their excellent service. You should ask them if they will do the price match. The worst they can say is no. And no problem man! If your ever looking for a deal on something come to me. I'll find you a good one.:thumb:

To the OP:

We have had our issues with the guys at RSP in the past, however they are a good group of guys and local to us here in Florida. They are indeed a legit business.

I would however ask you to call a few of the vendors that support this site, you have plenty of good guys right here to choose from.

If the turbo in the picture is the one they are selling, it is NOT a T04E 50-trim. That thing actually looks as if it's using the same compressor as the Bullseye Power T04B V-Trim, and if that's the case you're better off with an Evo III 16G. A V-Trim compressor has POOR efficiency above 20psi.

An educated buyer is a smart buyer. The T04E-50 has six major blades, that turbo has eight.

What they're selling:

Even if the turbo isn't that great, that kit still seems like you are getting a pretty good deal.

Let's break this down-

$1078.22 plus $99.99 shipping for us U.S. Residents = $1178.21.

You'll receive an old-school TiAL F38 gate with bolt-on flanges instead of the newer and better-sealing low-profile MVS....$224.95 from Extreme PSi.

You'll also receive a TiAL Q BOV....currently on sale at Extreme PSi for $239.99.

That leaves you at $713.27 for a turbo with an out-of-date compressor design that does not fit your stock manifold, does not use any of the stock oil hardware, and is both outspooled and outflowed above 20psi by an direct-fit upgrade Evo III 16G with a $200-cheaper price tag.

I'm sold. ROFL

Is their a such thing as a Precision 5431... ?

I did Notice that on that page it has the Comp cover Options...

"Compressor Housing Options
"Housing" - In/Out
"B Cover" -
2 5/8" inlet
1 3/4" outlet "

Also this turbo has a (54mm) inducer but only a (70mm) exducer? They didn't even list that I found it Google'd tring to find more info on anther pager from them... .

I notice they don't actually say its a 50trim its the Op who called it that but off those wheel specs

(2.123x2.123) / (2.7559x2.7559) x 100 = Trim
(4.507129/7.59498481) x 100 = Trim
0.5934 x 100 = 59.34
It's a "59 trim"?

I have PTE "50trim" (Scm5031re) and the compressor wheel is

Inducer 2.123" (53.9mm) Exducer 3.000" (76.2mm)

This is defiantly not a what they are making it out to be like Jusmx said it looks like V-Trim wheel an it's a bit deceptive to post a pic of a TO4E cover an say in the title it's a 54mm turbo then say in the print it's B cover... I'd just pick up an Actual 50 trim from a vendor on here

Not sure if it's in their catalog, but the turbo in that listing definitely has a T04B cover...and all of the popular 8-blade T04B wheels had a 70mm exducer to my knowledge. Precision just chose to mate the 54mm T04B compressor to a T04E T31 turbine on this model.

now that I look at it again I guess that is a T04b cover must have be the angle of the pic that made me think it was a T04E the first time

I'm really not familiar with with the To4b wheels didn't know they had a 70mm Exducer... .so they all are that Trim?

In all honesty, the deal is not all that fantastic. As a package it might seem appealing, but when you happen to factor in the combo deal we offer, just to mention one vendor, the break down tends to lend itself in favor of the distributor rather than the consumer. Contact me if you have any questions, but I would be happy to match the price...and to be honest, I would make some suggestions as well. Making an educated purchase is just one of the many benefits of purchasing through a vendor.

There are a handful of T04B wheels that all have the 8-blade compressor with the same exducer measurement....all have inducers that range in the high 40's to mid 50's of mm. This would compare to the T04E compressors which all have the same exducer, just a different inducer and are categorized by their "trim".

It's difficult to separate some of the T04B wheels because a few literally have a .5mm difference in the inducer. I don't know how many times I've received customer turbos with wheel damage so I couldn't get an accurate reading on the inducer and ended up ordering the wrong wheel.

Bullseye Power started machining the T04B compressor cover and backplate to accept T04E wheels at one point, much like many vendors machine TD05H covers to accept 20G compressors...so it's possible that one could end up with a T04B turbo with a T04E 50-trim compressor. The smaller cover is more compact and fits a little nicer without too much water pipe modification. However, the turbo in the O.P.'s listing is definitely not a using T04E-50 trim compressor.
