Anyone had any experience with this gt45 t4 turbo?

GT45 T4 TURBOCHARGER TURBO CHARGER

I was wondering if anyone has ever had any experience with this turbo, or know anyone that has?

I have an Ebay gt45 sitting here, and it's bigger than my head. Are you sure the turbo on your 1g is a gt45?

i dont have any pics of it off the car. its already bolted up. ill see how good of a pic i cant get with everything bloted up. Its pretty big, but i know its not a 45r. The link shows its a different brand, and it has T4 next to it. so idk. im rebuilding my 20g while experimenting with this one.

Pretty tight on the radiator so ill be getting a slim one soon. still workin on the dump tube right now. but it will be together by monday.

I dont think it is i got it froma guy named ed in virginia beach. He said he baught it back in tennessee. so idk. Ideas anyone on a slim fan/rad setup?

I think the ac fan will melt, take it off and stick it between your rad and intercooler. That should cool your car. What kind of manifold is that, is it on ebay?

You talkin bout taking the fan off in front of the turbo and just flipping its position to the other side of the radiator? Being that its pulls air through the radiator, think it would cause any problems with the radiator or ne thing pulling air the opposite direction that it was supposed to? And yea the manifold was off ebay, ill have to get his name if you want it.

Thats how I have the fans in my car. Wire them up the same way. Once you get the car running post up some spool times and maybe a dyno at 15-20psi to see what the knockoff 45r can do.

I only know of 1 awd dyno in the area, so once i break it in a lil bit at 8 psi. Ive got a camera so il lhave no problem posting up videos. i document my mods on my cars well and love makin vids. . Once its broken in ill probably run it at about 15-20 psi everyday. Just gonna make sure everything is good to go after the rebuild. Should be fun with all the new parts and the 2step studder box on it. Tryin to think of the best way to mount it like you said. Your engine bay is very dark. . i have the same style bov you do.

Like i said with the spare 20G i have it was tuned to 387 awhp in tennessee just a few months back. so should be promising. Just gotta wait and see what this new turbo does. If not ill just rebuild the 20g and put it back on.

I'm not sure about what compressor map would best suit that compressor wheel but maybe you'll have to end up running more boost to achieve some good power because its such a large turbo. That turbo does have a pretty small inducer 65mm(gt42 70mm), I believe, so it might spool up pretty good but then the exducer is 100mm.

Anyways, time will tell I've seen gt4088 turbos putting down close to 500whp at around 20psi.

As long as hes done with it monday ill make a vid and put it up on with the finished product. The wastegate has a 7.8 psi spring in it right now. So ill run that first. Gonna end up gettin a electronic boost controller to take it up from there. Hopefully all goes well and i got a v8 heartbreaker on my hands. . Definately gonna take it down and tear my brothers turbo civic a new ***hole. Since he seems to think civics are god.

I dont think that the stock fans can be flip since they are meant to pull not push, but give it a try swap the wires and see if it inverts

Not the stock fan ,but the slim fan that he has in the ac fan location. It's just going to melt from the heat if you leave it there.

Well i could have had this done already but we had to get underway this week. so ill have to look for some push fans when i get back or see if i can swap the wires on there now. idk. well see when iget back. but ill have some stuff up as soon as i get back.

Hey guys wasup? i know you wanted an update on the knockoff gt45. But with the amount of work its gonna take to fit it in there and work properlly, it wont be in mine right now. Itll be in a car within the next few months, but im traded it to someone for a Big 16G. and thats whats ill be running till i get the 20g rebuilt. sorry to dissapoint. but i need my car back and on the road running.
