Anyone else's clutch pedal acting weird in extremely cold weather?

This is on my 2G. When I first start it up after a very cold night, the clutch pedal feels soft when depressing and is slow to return when I release it, but it always returns fully. The clutch seems to grab OK and doesn't slip when this happens. The clutch pedal feels normal after a few minutes of driving. Does anyone know what's going on?

Happens to me too, i thought something was really messed up with my clutch, then it dawned on my that all the fluid must just be thick, cuz of 0 degree temps. I continued driving, and it got better, but yeah, my clutch never slipped, it was just that the pedal was slow.

This happens to me when its cold as hell. I know mine is dead though, there's oil all over my nice perty carpet  oh well, ill let you know if it helps when I do replace it.

Mine was like that too, i readjusted my clutch, mainly because it was notchy shifting, even after i changed the transmission oil with BG Synchroshift, so i figured my clutch wasnt fully engaging so i turned it a tad, and now it shifts like butter, and this helped my clutch pedal as well... the guy before me had installed a ACT2100 and had the clutch engage about an inch or two off the floor...

same thing happend to me the other night after work...damn near didnt make it home...i lost almost all pedal pressure. So i just went ahead and orderd new slave and master cylinders from buschur. Its due for new ones anyway.

The weather has been dipping into the negatives these past few days and my clutch is like that. It normaly takes arounf 10-15 min to warm up it so it moves freely.

Happens to me too, but only in VERY cold weather. We're talking under 10 degrees F. Feels to me that the fluid is just cold and sluggish, and it takes about 15 minutes to return to normal. I'm wondering though, if removing the clutch restrictor will have any effect on this feeling..probably not but I'm not at all familiar with the assembly.

I have not had this problem, but my tranny/clutch only has ~20K on it since it was replaced. On 12-20 it was -8* here, no problems.

BTW….I have had no issues with shifting either in this very cold weather. The Pennzoil Synchromesh has been working good. :laser:
