Anybody have experience with Borla XR-1 mufflers?

Does anybody have any experience with the Borla XR-1 mufflers?
I currently have a N1 exhaust but I want to get rid of it and get something more discreet looking.
Thanks ahead of time but I'm not interested in the magnaflow muffers. They're to shiny and draw to much attention. My car from the outside looks stock(I like the sleeper look) with the exception of the N1. What counts is under the hood(see profile if interested).

I run the Borla XR-1 3" in/out 5" round muffler as a midpipe resonator in my Thermal exhaust. They come with some whacky looking vertical perfed divider wall down the middle of the muffler. All Borlas I've used where on the louder side sound wise, with small muffler case volumes. I wouldn't really compare a Borla muffler to a stock exhaust. Sounds like your problem is having an exhaust system with a big, single tip, angled to the side, mounted on a round bullet muffler.

Actually I have a few issues with the N1.
Don't get me wrong, I like it and it performs well but...

1. It definitely stands out and draws some unwanted attention.
Luckily I know people but it's definitely been suggested by Law Enforcement to get rid of the can. VA laws are strict when it comes to exhausts and I think I've pushed my luck far enough.

2. I don't like the way the N1 exhaust necks down to 2.5 inside the can.

3. Like I said, I'd prefer to have something a little less shiny and some what similiar(not exact) to a standard exhaust. Something that performs yet doesn't draw your eye immediately if you were to walk by it.

I think the XR-1 oval 3" in/out would handle all the above issues.
I've just never seen the quality of it or how it performs for people.
