I'm rebuilding ported 420a I picked up locally and got it for basically free so I'll invest $ in good parts and it needs valve anyway.

Does any1 run BC valves I have BC stage 2 cams so I figured have em match. Any spring suggestions? Do u think I should have head decked? Going on motor should make 500+hp.

Any advice or opinions or suggestions are appreciated.

I didn't know bc made valves for the 420a but I would definitely use their springs and retainers tho. I used ferra swirl polish valves with my build. My only regret with the head was not going with oversized valves. For 500hp you will need some serious tuning and a solid machine shop.

What's your compression and what size turbo? 500hp is not easy at all with the 420a.

I just seen your running a 16g which that will never get you to 500hp. Slo2gen on here is running a 20g with 10.5 compression and he is just over 400hp using e85. But he snapped his oil ring gear in 3 pieces so I hope you plan on beefing everything up.

Awesome dude! Thanks for your information and you may be right I was assuming since BC made 4g63t valves then 420a valves would most likely be available as well. Turbo was on car when purchased but from all my research, the P.O. and 2 mechanics whom have seen in person I have stage 5 Hahn turbo kit and based on model # seems correct. Hahn does their turbos all In same housing as far as I know but mine super 25g.

Compression is 9.5. Running Crower stage 2 cams, venom sheetmetal intake, Hahn turbo kit with portfueler fuel management, huge Hahn fmic, bottom end .20 over forged je pistons, eagle h beam rods and crank. Lots more I'm forgetting

I agree it'll need AWESOME tune as I don't want to run e85 I'd prefer just regular 87 octane or premium if needed LOL. I'm for sure taking your advice and using the oversized valves and I have a premium machine shop.

Feel free to comment on setup. I may change entire turbo set up for large dual bearing Garret. Thanks again for your help!
 
The 25g with all the right supporting mods can put down some great numbers if done correctly. But running 87 octane won't get you there. I run 91 all day on my n/a and I'll probably use meth injection or e85 with my 20g. You will have better luck with a higher octane and don't use octane booster to make up for cheap gas. Your heading in the right direction for sure. Just make sure that you don't cheap out on anything at all or you will regret it in the long run.
