Hey guys!
just wanted to see if any can tell me if there's anyway to find out what fuel pump I have.
Now I know many of you would say pull the back seat and pull the pump but, mine is a tank puller so therfore isn't so easy.
I dont think its the stock1 because it whines really loud.(wich also changes tone with the blinker on:confused:)
Dont think it's a 255 becuase the previous owner didnt leave the AFPR on if there ever was 1.
So I'm kind of thinking it's a 190, but the only reason I want to waste my time finding out is because I know this car used to be raced so I just want to make sure they didn't leave a murderous fuel pump in.
Also, any comments on the whine would be an added bonus for me!ROFL

Thanks a gatrillion!

It's impossible for us to tell you what fuel pump you have solely on the information you have provided. You need to pull the pump out to determine for sure what pump you have.

What does this mean - "mine is a tank puller"?

Sorry about that, I didn't realize I posted it the way I did. I wasn't trying to ask if you can tell me what it is. I was seeing if there was any way for ME to tell what it is besides having to pull the tank down.
Tank puller means I cant access it from the back seat. I have to pull the tank down. I pulled the plate under the seat and there was no white cap to unscrew only fuel lines and the actual tank itself.

Sorry for the confusion.

You need to take off the panel that is on the passenger side under the backseat, not the one in the middle. Only awd's have the white cap, I believe. Follow the vfaq to remove the pump and then you should easily be able to tell which pump you have. You DO NOT have to remove the tank to remove the fuel pump.
