Any experience w/ a New 7-bolt Topline crank?

Does anyone have any experience with the 7-bolt topline crank? horsepower level you've run? how has it held to your beating? etc.?

A friend of mine is looking at picking one up from SBR for 500 bones that includes new bearings. He's got aa knocking rod and needs a rebuild. . . He wants to go around to 400whp (1997 TSI awd). Are these cranks as good as stock? or better from personal experience? He's snatching up my old 18g for cheap and he'd like to build his internals when/if he goes bigger on the turbo so he'd like to upgrade his crank now since he has to and not get a better one when he goes to his internals for upgrading.

We had a local guy do a complete TopLine rebuild to test it out. He wanted to do a build as cheap as possible and I believe he's put something like 30k miles later, it's still going strong. I can't comment exactly on the crank since I wasn't around on the rebuild but I would ASSume it has to be decent to get that kind of mileage out of it.

I would estimate somewhere around 300hp. He's running an Evo3 @ 20psi. Pretty basic car if I remember. Just intake, exhaust, fuel mods etc. No cams or the like.
