Creys car finally started up with a few sequels he was all smiles. looks like he will be driving after all
Thanks Khrys for letting everyone know, but yes the car does start and I even drove it around the block to let everyone in that neighborhood know that car can drive since its been sitting in that driveway for months.

Changing the axle and rear shocks tonight and then Kris and I are getting them cleaned up as much as possible before Saturday, I'm pumped!

:dsm:

Alright, just curious, but is anyone bringing a girl with them, or any girls going? wondering if the wife will have anyone to talk to...LOL... but count me in to going on Sat, might not make it to the AMPM but will for sure be at the dennys

whats wrong with your car ed maybe we can swing by to get here road worthy
Its probably working just fine, he just wants to mob up to Cypress with the 3g crowd in his girls car. LOL

I was at your house for about an hour after I got off of the range today, I figured you were sleeping but was planning on bringing up the 1g to get it drive-able again since mines good. I did replace that ISC and it corrected my idle surge, I also BLT'd it on base and found a leak at the SMIM stud on the top right one by the timing belt... it was coming through the bolt/washer so I tightened it down some more and fixed it. There is a small fuel leak at the fp AN fitting, I think I need to completely pull the fittings off the line and re-seat the damn thing but other than that its WOT tuning up to MOD! NOT! Maybe on the way back, that way I get there and its just getting home thats in question... :p

:dsm:

nothing really bad is going on with my ride kris just to many fu$%^# oil leaks so i took it to a pro to get that fixed an then install the sway bars i had in the garage for about a 9month. ill still see you guys out there at mod. an ied ride up their with you guys or ride shotgun. if you were not against the 3g so much but i might get made fun of an then i'ed cry.
corey sorry if i hit deep with the 3g thing. i got a suck shit 3g rs auto that gets wonderfull gas mileage an has a/c. yes 3g sucks giant whale balls! but they atleast make an effort to hang out. everyone here really dont do much except you an kris that i know of? still love you all, an im glad the g-ride is back an alive corey.
kris im still gonna hit you up when i'm ready to up the boost.
May the MOD be with you all have a safe trip up their.

i know kris, but i dont like bugging you with every little problem i have makes me feel like im abusing.
i would never doubt your amazing skills as a dsm an c130 mech
an you always help with info when i need it. it was'int only the leaks it was the few striped bolts that also needed attention. to much of a pain in the boot. fliped out an took it to a mech thats been prity good to me with my other cars.

man all these military guys running dsms, at least they know where its at.... glad im out though, but miss the autoshop.... those lifts are a life saver

*Edit: BTW, i read about it in this post earlier on i think, but i was wondering what it takes to fix a really fast blinker... my left blinker works perfect but the right one is on speed

Auto Hobby Shop is awesome. I had my rotors turned while using their lift a few years ago.

In regards to the fast blinker, I always thought it signified a bulb on its way out. That might vary between makes though; not sure.

Have fun at MOD tomorrow guys! An ex-marine flew in from Kansas last month, purchased my VR-4, and drove her back home heh. CSU tuition is beyond ridiculous.

Gah, so i make it to MOD, get my custom Keychain, basically cream myself looking at all this pretty shiny stuff... and then have the wife tell me she wants to leave.... talk about ruining the moment... wish i coulda stayed longer and hung out, but maybe we can meet up and do something out here...LOL

I'm out of town for 9 days starting on the 17th but after that I'd be up for a small meet and lunch somewhere on a weekend. I put up pictures from Saturday here...MOD '10 Pictures

:dsm:

LOL, whats the dennys meet like?

I'd be down to hang but i need to get this car runnig right so ill be working on it all weekend probably, if anyones got some extra time i could use some help to get this car running right.

Its probably your SAFC wiring but I've never actually looked at that car in person or even know whats modified on it so its just a guess. I'm out of town from the 17th to the 25th but I can always help over tuners, you just have to post up whats wrong.

:dsm:

well, so if we all hook up when Corey is back, then that will be like 4-5 people that should be showing up, not too bad i guess...

still gotta fix my damn vac issue... except im starting to wonder if its my gauge... hmmm but that still wouldn't explain the awkward idle

id be totally willing to help except that i somehow got pneumonia either last week, or over the weekend... I'm starting to get better but prob wouldn't be able to help until next weekend...

In the past, and I'm talking years ago, we'd meet up at Fry's Electronics and then cruised to Chile's. One time we went to the one in Mission Valley and the other we went to the Chile's off Sports Arena Blvd. There were probably only a handful then but it makes it a lot easier then say 15 or 20 of us, even though that would be sweet! :sneaky:

What gauge? What vac issue? Whats it doing at idle?

:dsm:

that actually doesnt sound too bad at all...

i have a SunPRO 30/20 Vac/boost gauge, the vac reads 10 at idle, 20 while moving unless clutch pressed in, then 10, and regular idle is around 750 but sounds like its fighting to stay alive, messed with the screw, which raised it to 950, but that only lasted about a min:banghead:

~Edit: btw, i noticed my clutch now has a click sound when its pressed and then let go... i replicated it while under the dash and it looks like the spring is slightly shifting.... is that bad??

Update on the car... pulled it out of the body shop July 2nd (didn't finish the job, its been there for 10 months but that another story.) and that weekend dropped the 6 bolt engine and everything else from a 95 I bought for parts. Tried rushing it to be able to make it to MOD but ended up halving to work that weekend. So I been slowly working on it after work.

The issue I'm having right now thats driving me crazy. Car starts when cold no problem idles around 2 k and then slowly drops to 950ish. No misfires or stutters. Now if I turn on the car when its warm starts right up idles for a couple of seconds then dies like you turned it off.

Things I did to the engine during swap.
Keeped engine, tranny, Intake, fuel rail, turbo and exhaust manifold intact.
Removed all AC componets
Removed all the emissions crap. Canister, vacuum lines, EGR valve, then wired the MBC to one of the diagrams posted on this site. BOV to Intake maniflod with the MBC splited with a T to the WG. and the Intake manifold to the fuel pressure regulator with a T split to the PSI gauge. then capped everything else off.
Used the ECU off the 95,

Any advice on what to check or look at would be helpful other then installing the front brake lines and bleeding the clutch I should be hopefully driving any day now.
