hey Corey you have a 7cm mitsu flanged gasket you willing to sell? kinda need one asap, i asked alex and rigo but they lag it even on the text messages. LEWL
Sure don't. i use the metal 7cm gasket so i don't have to keep replacing the composite ones everytime i take off the turbo, sorry man. If anyone has a spare 7cm gasket its either gonna be Alex or Kris (banishedmonk)...

thanks ! found one woot woot. what about would you have an old compressor housing off any turbo? idc the condition i just need to cut off the alluminum part where the wga threads bolt up to. haha ghetto rigging
 
All the compressor housings I have belong to a turbo that I can sell, so if you want to buy a 16g for $300 then do what you want with the compressor housing I'll sell you one? ;)

My turbo spools really loud and its leaking boost and oil through the oil cap... under heavy acceleration I got like no boost and when I popped the hood oil was all over my valve cover... XD
um... I told you to buy a new oil cap and take the rubber gasket off of it and put it on your OEM one thats on there, its like $5 dude.

Did that but the cap I bought has a harder gasket than whats in mine already 8P. Leak is like 4x worse!

man.. that sucks i fixed 95 percent of my oil leak when i replaced all the lines an put teflon tape on all my fittings that did the trick. it was the monster oil cooler corey.. hahaha but it's good now.. sucks to here about all the bad problems kantide. you gotta keep on top of the maintenance.. dose anyone have 2G silacone radiator hose kit?? also dose anyone know of a good place to do wheel alinement

If anyone has a spare boost gauge they wanna sell please lemme know so I can test this. Going out to buy a cheap set of wrenches and sockets so I can teach myself how to fix these things, and I appreciate any advice since I am for lack of a better term, a mechanical n00b. Driving home today was a pain... could barely accelerate... *sadface*

have you checked your turbo for play? the last time i had a t25 go out on me it started spooling really loud.

No because I am a n00b at turbos and would not know how to do this. Doing some research atm.

Edit: So I read somewhere that low oil pressure can be the culprit for turbo damage... This may be the case since I have been recently loosing a lot of oil... I am going to go check my turbo for shaft play and then cry myself back to sleep XD.

I spoke with, damn I forgot his name(Corey you might know who he is, he's and asian guy, he said he knows you), anyways he told me that now the thing to do is pop in diesel turbo chargers. He took me to the back and showed me the one he is going to be insalling. So costume work needs to be done but he assured me that RRE can do it. Anyone know what diesel turbocharger is being used? I forgot the name of the turbo, i emailed RRE to about this.

Corey, do you know?

The guy you're talking about is probably Sam. And the turbo is a holset hx35, I just recently sold mine to buy a dd that doesn't drive haha.

The guy you talked to up at Road Race is Sam and the diesel turbo your referring to is a Holset. It's the turbo that Kris (banishedmonk) is running on his red 1g. If you can get the turbo (HX35/HX40) you can buy a Mitsubishi flanged hotside for it from Bullseye Performance for $300-$400. If you want to know the in's and out's of them talk to Alex (vergetsi) or Kris since they have the setup for them. I saw Kris do a 12.4 1/4 mile pass with his and he had no 2nd gear or traction... the turbo's definitely good for 11's with the right setup and tuning.

Your lucky RRE was even open on Saturday, their normal hours are just Mon-Fri.

Heres an update for everyone even though I'm sure half of you already know and the other half doesn't give a damn but here it is anyway.
Last week I dropped a few dollars on mods for a beefier setup since the 260/280 I put down on the dyno was less than impressive. The new setup I'm going to be putting up on the dyno at RRE dyno day (still TBA) I'll be running an FP HTA68 turbo, FP2 Cams, FIC 950cc injectors, the big 4" FP intake, & E-85. I also added a bit of decoration to the top of the motor, I got RRE black anodized spark plug cover... :)

Cool thanks Corey! Id imagine these turbos are excelent ### they usually push 45 psi or so on trucks right? so 15 - 20 psi would be nothing to these turbos. I wanna buy one, know were I could find one Alex? Corey?

15-20 psi on a holset would be way below their efficiency in order to make any power you'd have to be running 27+ psi. The turbo itself is not hard to find on eBay or here on the forums but if you want to run the bolt on housing that might be a bit tricky since not a lot of vendors carry them.

Hey Corey do you by any chance know if bullseye is stocking the hotsides now?
 
Ok so I did a little bit of testing, no shaft play in the turbo! YAY!, All hoses as far as I have checked are solid, and I even tightened a few. Only thing I couldn't get to was the IC since I have no jack (left it at Kris house). I think it may be the BOV though...

Morgan your bov isn't going to leak (unless its around the flange) until you hit around 12-14psi which you won't be until you run a manual boost controller. Since your recirculated if it did open around 12-14psi your car wouldn't bog/hesitate/buck because the "leaked" air would be going right back into the system. Somethings up with your car, check all those connections going to the intake, theres 3 on yours. Remember I cracked loose the 13yr old dust on them so they weren't naturally stuck to it anymore, maybe one came loose.

I took off the intake again to double check and all the connections are tight. It boosts but not like it used to, it gets just enough to keep the engine moving. It drives smooth but theres just no real power to the engine. I took it to mitsu today to have them recheck the valve cover gasket they replaced and its not visibly leaking oil any more but theres still low boost and when I floor it all I get is the loud spooling like air going through a hole... I just don't know where. I give up since there isn't very much more I can do atm.

Thanks! I need a new AFPR since I lose ALL my fuel pressure the second I turn off the car with the one thats on there now. I'm gonna be getting the Fuel Lab black one so its even more stealthy than before... :sneaky: The lady at Fontana who teched my car in wanted to see the bottle of NO2 because she thought that AFPR was NOS!!!! hahah.
