NICE Wheels they look so much like the driftz. *sigh* i wish i had 8 inch wide wheels, lucky !

So far my best bday present was last year buying the Talon i have, bought it day day of my bday. My whole family pitched in since it was a last minute thing LOL. Kind of a gift ive had been waiting for a while and very much earned, in my mind at least. Your 24th bday, just graduated from college and instead of a new car you find a well taken care of DSM to make failure out of LOL.

SO on that note, it leads me to say, what gives?, my clutch isnt slipping anymore! First it was like if it had clutch chadder when i first got it thinking the transmission or transfer case was messed up and bind up, then it started slipping and for about a week now ever since the exhaust and coilover install ive been dumping the clutch every other stop light and it grabs really good. baffled ! :idontknow:

Thanks. My clutch is about to go 8(. I have bad chatter goin on, not too bad but you can hear it when the clutch is pressed and sometimes itll slip after shifting so I have to push it in hard to get it to set right. Also loses pressure at random times.
 
If you are interested I can get you a kick ass clutch for cheap. There is a guy down in Tijuana that owns a clutch shop. He specializes in clutches and he buys all the parts directly from the factory in San Diego. I just got a sprung 4 puck bronze clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, he also lightened my flywheel all for a whooping 200 bucks. Not a bad deal IMO. My car now spins all 4 tires and takes off like a bat out of hell :D

Shop's name is RS clutch.

Thats just parts tho right? He didnt do installation for that price too did he?

I need a new clutch bad, do they have a website or how do I get in touch with them.

Also I'll be looking for volunteers to help with the install. I have access to lift and all needed tools just want to see if anyone wants to help.
 
I wouldn't mind going to Mexico but the Marine Corps won't let any Marines go there right now because of all of the cartel activity. But if someone can get me a good deal on a clutch I'm sure I could buy some beer for them.
 
Yaaaay 21st is next Race Legal......too bad I have an 10hr flight :(

too bad i cant just go down there whenever...need a passport or birth certificate and an approval from my chain of command...military life, its a blast!

Thats installed? how does he make a profit off that?
 
Mmm lightweight flywheel = rev-happy. They're good for quicker revs and more power to the ground, but your revs will drop quicker and lower which isn't very beneficial for those who autocross, track, or spool larger turbos. It takes some getting used to especially in daily commute/traffic.

Was it balanced?
 
alittle description of the above video would be sweet... looks like you had a good run before it broke 8.7 in the 1/8th is great in my book. 60ft time? trap speed? anyway, what happened there at the end? hopefully it wasn't anything too bad, i did see a "crankwalk" bubble in there but on a 6-bolt, that would be the first i think.

What up Corey and fellas, nice to see the thread has been opened again.

Hows everyone been, have not seen or heard of anyone for some time now... Hopefully all is good.

We should all hang out sometime, do a barbecue or something just to relax and watch some football. Alex is the only one I see around still, Mike is hiding along with Moses. And Rego... man he's out saving one diesel engine at a time! Go get em Tiger! anyway, stroke it easy fellas.

First race was against a stock 2g gsx. I ran an 8.7 with a 1.9 60'
Second run I was about to go against a TT FD but I broke a crank pulley... Easy fix but it kept me from racing the rest of the night... I had to run to my buddies house to get a spare one and fix it so I could take my car out of the track.
