the ex g/f decided to fly into SD thursday afternoon completely halting my work on the car. i think dans a little upset, i know i am, but it sounds like he did get the transmission completely on the car somehow?

I been to that place they had a nice evo8 for 11k I might go check it out this weekend see if I can hustle them I'll take my dad he won't quit until he gets it to the price he wants thanks gstrryder for the help

no problem man. they always have nice cars. and if you know how to hustle you could get a very clean car for a great price! =) and having your dad there would really help! if you walk in there with 5-6k in cash... wadded up.. they might bite on it! see if it comes with a good warranty or even if you can get a really cheap extended warranty for it? good luck with that man! makes sure it has low miles. i am gonna go up there right now just for the hell of it to check the car out. go over it thoroughly if they let me. ... i will let ya know what i find.

i saw this at the used car tent sale at qualcomm... it has like 50k miles. tranny shifts like butter. there are little bits of interior flaws and a few exterior... but otherwise it seems to be in great condition. i may go there to check it out more thoroughly first though... but it is overall a pretty good looking car. (i was there at nite tho.) i may go check this one out first since its right down the road from my house. walk in there and see if you can swindle these fools by flashing some cash too!!!

7k....9k.... thats why you go in there with cash and see what they say. money talks.. you know they got them for half of what they are asking... come one guys...ya serious? if they dont take the cash then you keep looking, but seriously cash talks. unless they are retarded. fyi, that white tsi was listed for 8k at the tent sale... i guaruntee they payed like 4k for it... offer them 5k cash or something like that. and the 9k one i would offer em 6k cash if it is low miles and see what they have to say. the least they could say is that they want more for it.

maybe if i get there tomorrow i will see what they would take for it? but its different when you have a stack of cash in hand..

if they are so hard pressed they want to get top dollar for them. then you can look somewhere else. but it is always worth a try.

totaly agree with you once you see the money its a whole different story

What up guys! Glad to hear there's dsmers in San Diego. I can help you guys out with lots of stuff if you need. I am a Pro EFI tuner here in sd and have over 4 years experience tuning DSMLINK and of course other programs. I have extra parts and me and my buddy are great wrenches. I also have a powdercoating shop in SD and can hook it up with all heat treating and powdercoating.

I'd like to meet up with any dsm guys in sd.

Well I'm up in Spring Valley and my schedule will keep me busy for the next 2 weeks straight, but after that the best times for me to meet anyone is friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon.....wife permitting of course.
