Alex ! I wanted to check out how DSM Link is operated also. Is it the newest version with all the fancy options? SAFC2 FTW ! LOL

if i can help anyone out hit me up. been in this game for a while. LOL.. don't mind helping out a few people and using my damn tools. like they don't get used enough already... LOL:rolleyes: i mean i do own 2 dsm's...ROFL
yea dude i fixed it a couple days ago thanks though

yeah it is a work in progress, have custom parts being built right now. and more stuff on the way. just ordered up a ton of stuff over the weekend. waiting for my RR/Autox teams shop to not be so busy so i can take the car up there to get some stuff fabbed up. and get the suspension setup. (i can do it at my house but i am lazy. it may come down to that tho ### they are swamped right now.

I am gonna be running a Top Mount Divided T3 manifold with dual 38mm MVS wastegates and a 12cm TS turbine housing. (With no wastegate provisions or anything it isn't the stock one.so it is lighter smaller n cleaner looking.had to buy it... couldn't stand the stock ugliness. LOL. still waiting for it to show up.) selling the stock ugly shitti wastegated one. . With this setup and the E85 i should see 30lbs of boost right around 3000rpms.:hellyeah::hellyeah: not going for the average cheap shmoe's bullseye crap. i want real results!:rocks::rocks:

man i really need to update my profile. it is old. LOL

and i need to get on the ball and finish stripping the car to prep it. still haven't pulled the motor to refresh it yet. i am such a lazy ass. im too busy working on other ppls cars.

as for my where i live in el cajon, i love on the east end of el cajon. :thumb:

BTW, i have tuned a bit with dsmlink... was a while ago on my friends car with him, may be a bit rusty, but astill willing to help out if needed... latest thing i had fun with was emanage ultimate. but didn't solely tune it myself. and the usual helping people out with their safc's. and as for the AEM, well dude that owns the shop and the team (my girls bro) is gonna be tuning it with me. don't have experience with AEMEMS yet...:coy:

sounds like a nice build, im going to be using a hx35 as well but with the bolton housing for my fp mani. why did you pick the mvs over the traditional 38mm? im actually shopping around for an o2 housing and wastegate and still not sure on which one i should use.

Sorry to interrupt the wonderful conversation you guys have got going on [LOL] buuut is anyone showing up tonight for the weekly meet? It would be nice to meet more of you.

PS: My S-AFC gets the job done haha! 350AWHP is coming soon! FYI, Thomas Dorris of ECUtuning [DSMlink] is working on a similar flashable stock ECU for the 3/S platform. The purpose was to replicate what DSM's, Lancer Evolutions, and Subarus can do with their stock ECU's without having to jump the gun with the GReddy/AEM EMS.

I won't be out this week I'm friggin swamped up to my gills in work, I gotta meet this deadline.

yes, it is a lot of work on my hands! and alotta money to be blown. but in the end it will all be worth it!:D i actually plan on competing in the 5:1 racing class... which is very competitive.. since i will be over 500hp and close to 2500lbs w/o driver. got alotta work, but having to earn the money keeps me from doing as much work as i need to, so for now the parts sit around, littered all over the house or are still on their way. gotta lot of work ahead of me the next 2-3 months. don't know how i am gonna have the time to get it done:idontknow: but i will bust my azz trying!:D

thanks!:) i really appreciate when people can look at what i am trying to do and see it for what it is worth. :D i am pretty excited, nobody else has been willing to put the time and money to set one of these holsets up to produce some unreal numbers, so i figured i would step up to the plate and prove that a garret, hta, bw, or anything can't touch this damn thing. and its taken alot of thought and research and mula, which most holset peeps don't dish out. LOL. i even had a comment from slowboy and they said a holset would be a bad autox/roadracing turbo, and i am hellbent to prove them wrong.:hellyeah:

that is awesome that you will be running an hx35! i'd like to see your build as it comes along! make sure you feed it properly with oil, and you are gonna need a massive drain tube. bigger then the Garrett ones people are used to running! just an fyi. it is good to see more holset users out there. especially having one around here. if ya need any help let me know!:thumb:

as far as why i am running the mvs wastegates, they are v-band (easy to remove and work on the car) it is a race car. i feel v-band flages are 10x better than any bolts style. and 10x easier to work on. it also looks wayy better! they are alot smaller, and i am gonna need all the room i can get to work in my engine bay . also, they cost the same amount, so there is really no point in going with the old style. just overall a better choice for my setup. :rocks:

GSTRYYDER, maybe you should post a e-mail to be reached at? If thats ok with you. Only saying cause you say you only come through here once in a while. Hell, i wanna roll by your house just to check out your projects. LOL

well, i am on dsmtuners every day. i check my pm's like 5x a day... gotta clean out my inbox. LOL. actually i just meant that i don't usually cruise thru this thread, but, will keep it in mind to at least stop in here once every day or so. if you want you can pm me. i wouldn't mind giving out my email thru pm's.

as far as rolling thru. the car is still being torn down. keep finding stuff to remove every day i work on it. LOL. so it isn't much to look at the moment. beside a gutted shell. LOL. i am about to clean out my garage so i can line up the parts for my car as they come in. and stack up the parts i have sitting around. i keep telling myself to wait until i get more parts to throw stuff on. or at least wait for the parts that i have coming to me. only reasoning is because i live on a dirt road, and i don't want to leave it sitting there half put together with parts that are worth so much in it. i need to clean out the garage so that i can keep it safe while i put stuff on it. i need to throw away all the old interior which is in the garage. that is on my list of things to do this weekend. and clean up so i can actually park it in there.

i figure it should be maybe a month until i actually start throwing stuff on the car. and hopefully 2-3 months b4 it is all done (maybe minus the cage and seat...)but i wanna get it running b4 i worry about that. as soon as i am happy with how much i have gutted the car i will wrry about moving it inside and putting it together. there is ALOT of stuff to strip down on these cars...OMG and whenever i get my parts in the mail. i wouldn't mind having you swing by though when i start putting it together. but as far as right now goes... you would be somewhat unimpressed. ROFL

as far as the gst goes, it is currently getting brought back down to stock. it is depressing... but i have sold alot of parts off it to fund my real car. once i get it to stock i will start driving it around again and i will eventually sell it to buy a truck to pull around my race car and my other toys. it is gonna be fun tho, driving my gsx (race car) on the streets every once in a while. maybe i can bring it to one fo the meetups around where you guys are. that is; if the cops won't ref me once they look under my hood if they are around...

i will keep you guys updated on how things are going. and if anyone happend to have a really nice press... i am gonna need one soon for my bushing kit and maybe some other stuff.:D whenever i decide to tackle that problem.

thanks fro the interest though. i definitley would enjoy having people come over to check out the progress once i start beautifying it. LOL. as soon as i get some more parts in (like the fresh head) i will pull the motor and go to town on it. geeze i got so much stuff to do. LOLWTF

3000GT VR-4 :thumb:

MR2 Turbo would be fun and different overall too.

Well, that question could be asked for any car really. In the end, it really depends on YOU as the owner; if you're willing to get down and dirty for DIY or have the money to pay a mechanic/dealer.

The 6G72TT is definitely more maintenance and challenging compared to the 4G63T. The rewarding feeling of driving a running one is priceless though. You have to keep in mind that those cars were technologically advanced for their time, so there's quite a few features to tinker with. For the most part, however, you should be fine learning+working on one if you've done plenty on your DSM.

Craigslist won't land you too many dependable results. You could try expanding your search to include Orange County and Los Angeles, but I would suggest 3Si.org and SoCal3S. I've been a member on both since late 2006. Good luck!

PS: My '91 VR-4 has 120k and is extremely healthy, not to mention, crazy powerful.

a nice nissan silvia/240sx... or an mr2 turbo. i really like hose 240/silvia with the sr20det.. badazz cars. rear wheel drive is fun too.

good luck in your search. i will keep my eyes peeled for some nice gsx's... hopefully you can find a good one! i will let ya know if i run across one.:thumb:

there's a clean ass red gsx on craigslist, dude wants kind of a lot for it tho
