Any aluminum rod strokers out there?

This winter ill be rebuilding the car and have pretty much desired on 10.5:1 wiseco HD's and aluminum rods. Wanted to see if anyone is running this setup, when they shift and how do they like it?

My car only sees around 400miles/year so the whole aluminum rod issues don't scare me at all.

I know Brent Rau used these rods and they withstood 1400hp and I'll be shooting for a little under that so...

Extreme amounts of clearancing is needed to make them fit.

Are you asking if you can get away with not grinding the block and making the setup work? No. The rods will hit the block when the crank rotates. I was trying to talk a buddy of mine into doing a 94mm crank and do the aluminum rod. I am all for aluminum rod motors. When my brother was working at tpg tuning he would drive his aluminum rod motor 60mile each way daily. Never had any issues. It was his only car at the time.

No, I don't mind grinding the block at all, I have spared no expense on this car and I won't start now. Just wondering if anyone has had any negative effects from fringing the block.

I am using manley rods didn't have to clearance the block but did have to do some on the oil pan for 3 and4 cylinders.

Bringing this thread back again... I know John from Force Eng.. has mentioned its too much clearance work to use aluminum rods in a 2.3L 4g63. I want to know since a G4CS block is 6mm higher on deck, is that enough to avoid grinding by the main bearing caps and cylinder holes from bottom?
Kiggly girdle possible on a g4cs?
Easier to pull this off using a 6 bolt 4g64 from 91-92 Mitsu Expo FWD ?
Bme or RnR can make this aluminum rod spec, and i'am researching the possibilties, and would appreciate feedback.
