I just bought a this new dsm book and was looking through it and noticed the show that you have to grind some material off the end main caps so the rods don't hit. I'm running eagle rods and a 4g64 crank in a 6 bolt bottom end and i didn't have to do this. My motor now has about 8000mi on it and shows no signs of any problems. The rods i used were bought back in 2004, i think they were the esp eagle rods, does anybody know if eagle changed there rods in the past 5 years. Should i pull the pan and take a look or do you think if it was hitting something would of broke by now? Let me know what you would do
