so every now and then my anti-lock brake light comes on it doesnt have a certain pattern sometimes it does and sometimes doesnt. when it does come on every now and then it will stay on until i have turned the car off then when i start it back up its not on and usually wont turn on again. it happends every now and then so idk what this could be. today my dad drove my car to work and when he came home he said right up the street when he was almost home it came on then he told me about it so i took it around the block and never came on so idk kinds confused, so let me know what you think.

Mines on all the time. It's really annoying. I've heard if the sensors get frayed or damaged it will set off the anti lock light. But I have no idea where the sensors are.

There is an abs section of some free copies of the tech manual I found the link to my post is here:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/302978-free-tech-manuals.html

Troubleshooting abs fwd is on page 150 and troubleshooting abs awd is on page 165. It has pictures of sensors and everything. I have not got a hard copy of these books yet so this is what I use when haynes just doesn't cut it.

I know the download says 90-91 engine chassis body but the brakes should be the same. :thumb:

also wondering my e brake light is always on and hasnt turned off in a long time. why is this i was told it could just be a bent sensor but idk. my e brake will be all the way down and it doesnt stick or anything its perfectly fine but light is still on.

the red brake light is not just an ebrake light. If it is on it could indicate that there is a serouse problem with your brake system...

well i was thinking it was the e brake because when it first started coming on i would put my e brake down and it would still be on and if i would pull it up and do it again it would turn off sometimes or if i wiggled it a little but now its always on. when i bought it the guy told me i needed new brake rotars and still havent got any could this be a factor?

had the same prob. it would be on and then id restart my car and it would be off. i cleaned the sensors out with some electronic cleaner (spray) and air duster and no prob since....
