ok so i need to find someone who has installed this smim, badly... ive had a lot of problems installing this thing, and i am getting tired of all this down time....

its the dejon tools intake manifold, and right now my outstanding problem is that the lower coolant line wont let me line the throttle body up to screw on the elbow and the throttle body.... (yea thats right, i FINALLY got it on....) most of the problems are not dejons fault, so dont get me wrong...what have people with smim (because im assuming others locate the throttle body to a similar location and are equally impossible to install) done to get that throttle body into position...

also the next problem i think ill be having will be the elbow and battery having a battle for room, along with the (i want to say map sensor, but i dont think it is, since its the thing with the cables that go along the fuel rail and control the throttle plate position...) throttle cable housing? does anyone have dejon piping with a dejon intake manifold and know if there is room to keep those things in the stock location?

also i plan on removing my ac, and to get the freon discharged i planned on running it as an n/a down to a gas station and back, anyone see any problems with this?

also i forgot to mention... im doing a short route intercooler piping set up with a back door fmic... so in order to get the coolant bottle out of the way, i replaced the line that goes from the top of the coolant bottle to the engine block (kinda, the main line basically...) with the old line that went from the intake to the valve cover (cleaned it first) so the line would be longer, and i moved the bottle to where the stock intercooler was, and am now looking for a way to hold it down... the stress on the line and the wire that leads to the bottom is holding it right now, but i dont want to drive it while its sitting there like that... i was thinking about getting some kite string and fixing it up that way, but something tells me theres a reason why you never see kite string in an engine bay holding stuff together.... anyone know what i could do to hold this up? will the kite string work since its a somewhat unimportant part to have in a specific location with no movement at all...

to me it looks like its just that huge plastic box the battery sits in that will be in the way... the clearance is litterly that small of an issue...(like a quarter of an inch lets say...) the main thing is that coolant line in the throttle body, and that throttle cable housing thing that might be in the way, but i have no way of telling since the coolant line wont let me get the tb on...

also the lower part of my bumper broke off (well one side...) i was thinking... i dont even really need it, do i? there are still all the screws on the top and by the wheel wells...

I use zip ties to hold mine in place. Im not a fan of kite string.

LOL... how could i forget about zip ties.... i even went over to my friends house the other day and picked up about 50 of them... thanks...problem solved...

edit: but what about the coolant line, anyone know anything about that? should i just force it?

ok so i looked at it some more and that coolant line is straight down, so if i shortened it up a little it should work,... the car hasnt run in over a month, any ideas of how much coolant will be in there? should i take off the upper one first? would it work if i just put a towel around it, took it off, cut it, and put it back on? (i mean would not that much come out...) should i try cutting it while its still on (so that there is still a seal) and taking off the part i cut off and moving it up and doing it again til its at the height i want?

like this i guess...

Your talking about the heater lines for the TB right that run the coolant though them for people in winter climates? If you you live in california. Just loop the hose and forget about hooking it to the TB. Im in canada although my car is not winter driven I don't run the heat.

so should i just stuff a whole lot of paper towels down there and do it and stick with the cleanup, or what?
