Toronto,
I've been asking few questions here lately about my outdated parts and if they are going to work with my more powerful setup but I yet to hit another brick wall with this... My 6 BOLT swap engine is actually getting built now, head is already out why not built the rest since I am already there ? Why not just go little further? It's always like that and I hate it sometimes :)

Anyways I am pretty confident I will be surpassing the 400 WHP mark and MAF is going to be yet another battle neck also making my new Dejon tools 3" intake pipe for stock MAF useless . So my question, is there any drawbacks going with GM MAF and MAFT setup with DSM Link? I know stock MAF has Boost and temp sensors and I am fairly confident GM MAF doesn't... and I am really not looking forward to more tuning problems, I got enough as it is...Also I really don't want Blow Through/Draw Through setup or Venting BOV since I want my big FP Green somewhat spooled up between shifts so is there anything I can do to avoid GM MAF + MAFT to handle the air flow... maybe get EVO MAF or something like that? ? I don't want to hack the MAF ether since it's not such a good idea ether.

So basically what would be the most optimal thing for me to do with MAF to handle the power and have less hassle turning it with DSM Link?

PS: My car profile is up to date

Your suggestions are appreciated.

Venting or no venting has nothing to do w/ spool up. Not having either will lower spool up or transient response of the turbo. Both a bov and a bypass valve still release pressure post turbo and pre TB regardless of where the air goes. If you want your turbo to stay somewhat spooled between shifts then removing intake restrictions will help (blowthru maft).

GM maft in drawthru is rather accurate and painless for tuning. Most guys dont seem to need to calibrate in GM maft drawthru. Blow through is a different story. But It can be calibrated simply w/ a wideband or GM map sensor. Calibrating blowthru can be cumbersome.

Also I think Thomas Dorris has recorded the airflow correction neccesary to run the EVO MAF. . . I think they can meter a phenominal amount of airflow. Running in drawthru or getting TDorris evo maf calibrations may be your "easiest to tune" options.

Of couse, you can get a GM MAP sensor and activate either the "use map" or "fake maf" options in the airflow correction window. both choices require more tuning time. . .

Please correct me if I'm wrong. But A stock 2g (unhacked) maf can handle pretty much whatever a FPGreen can throw at it. You already have this maf.
