:rocks:

She's alive and kicking! Yesterday rolled it over on the stock ECU (just incase something was haywire with the wiring...) Today swapped it to the DSMLink-chipped ECU. Loaded the last tune into the computer, which had the correction for the GM MAF; then let her run for a good half hour or so. Here's a short video of the car running.

Now it's down to just little things; like why the gas gauge isn't working. :notgood: May have to run the car off the 196k cluster form the white talon if the gauge ends up being the culprit. Oh well.

So far tho, she runs... and quite decent on a tune that's for stock cams. No leaks other than a few drips from some clamps that needed more tightening. The car is running a bit on the lean side. Of course this is at idle, so can't really judge what's going on a whole lot. But at idle the Wideband shows 15.7 to 16.5ish. I'll have to look at the logs from Link and see what's going on.

But yeah.. that's it for now. SO EXCITED! :D

AWESOME JOB! I love the color. if you need a gauge cluster i believe i have an extra one laying around. just pay for shipping and its yours LOL pm me if interested. =)

it is! :) Thank you!

Tsijohn: thanks for the offer, I will def let you know! Going to do some more wire testing and check resistance on the sending unit itself to make sure that it is not dead. They both worked a year ago.. but things can change in a year's time. LOL

anytime! just trying to look out for ya =)

Thanks again everyone!! Beyond excited right now!

Does an 89 CSX count? Those Spirit R/T's and IROC R/T's were some wicked little cars back in the day!

Actually, that would be equally as impressive. My Dad had an 86 Lancer Shelby, and that was replaced with the Spirit R/T. That was a good looking car for a family ride back in the day, I still remember seeing it the day it was brand new. I stared at it for hours, washed it every other day. I was 11-12 years old back then. I loved that car.

congrats on the first start.. it feels good dont it?

Wow.. that's cool! Two rare cars. :thumb: That's cool, tho! That whole era is kinda forgotten by a lot of people. Most people cannot believe that the GLHS was faster than the old Shelby GT500. (stock vs. stock, of course!) Then the Spirit R/T came out with that 16V DOHC and a Lotus head which made it the fastest production sedan at the time.

I know with the CSX, people will say "wow thats a funny looking Mustang." Since they don't realize that Shelby worked with Dodge in the 80's.
