bought a 1g head last night for my 2g motor ( 95 gst ) i thought i did enough research and asking questions and what not but guess not

the water neck area for the two heads is different -- i was to worried about the cam angle sensor and how im gonna tap and drill that in and i didnt see the difference between the two -- what can i do about this?

go to the junk yard and find a 1 g with the water neck still in it and swap it in? will this even work?? is it even the same thing?

or should i just sell the head and find a 2g and just bolt the dam thing on -- im pissed i missed this......

get the black top CAS for a 93 or 94 and use the wire swap harness and yes you need to just get a 1g water pipe and you will need to use 1g radiator hoses as well and you will need to cut that big ass weight off the shifter arms on the tranny

ok so a 1g water pipe will fix my problem and cutting that wieght off wont cause any shifting issues?

and i was thinking about going the 97 98 or 99 cam angle sensor, which i read bolts right up... i also read that ill have to switch some coils around in that article the guy above pointed out -- is that true and once i do that will everything run fine?

just those two things right? and shes all set

( oh and ill have to rewire that 97 with the right connector to the harness of course )

is your 93 or 94 CAS easier? i dont want to weld almunium, let me rephrse that.. i cant weld aluminum LOL

ok, water neck problems are situated,, i went back to the guy who sold me the head and he gave me the 1g neck with the hoses he had laying around and all,, should be an easy swap.

Now this whole CAS thing is still got my head spinning

i see three options: please tell me if im right LOL

1) swap my 95-96 CAS over to this head and drill and weld it on.

2) find a 97^ CAS and it will bolt right on and all ill have to do is reverse the coils around and ill have to re wire the connector. ( does the 97^ CAS go in the same spot as the 95-96 CAS? -- ive read that it just bolts right on -- is that true??

3) go with a Black Top Cas with a wiring adaptor and this will solve my problem as well.. I really dont understand this one because its on the opposite side of the head isnt it????

thanks for the help guys,, shoulda just found another 2g but ill make it work eventually
