oil pump problem...i think i screwed up

well i was going to reuse the oil pump that came off my short block cause it checked out ok...but heres my problem...wile removing it a cpl weeks back i had a problem getting a nut off of the pulley...so what do i do...grind it off as well as part of the shaft...i believe its the oil pump drive gear the has the gear on it for the timing assembley...well i was gonna do a mock install of the bs cause my bottom end willl be put together nxt weekend, when i noticed what my dumbass did...will i have to replace the oil pump now?
 
i would replace it anyway you dont want to take a chance with the oil pump..
