Ok hears the deal. I met this guy today that wants to race me in his Typhoon. After talking to him and his friend, I want to think that he is totally BS. He was saying that his Typhoon had some 400hp which I was starting to believe until he continued on with the conversation. These are the things that tipped me off. He was bragging about being able to pop a wheelie across an intersection by powerbraking. Aren't Typhoons AWD? The second was he ran a Mid 12 sec at 98 mph. I ran a 13.7 at 98 mph. Shouldn't his trap speed have been a lot faster? The final thing was that he was going to do a $9000 TURBO SWAP to a T77. (yes he did say a T77. I thought it was a T78). We all know that hondas spend a lot of money on turbo swaps but this is a little extreme. I corrected him on the Turbo type and he said that it was a T77, and the $9000 was ONLY for the turbo swap. No fuel, tuning, internals, intercooler, etc.
Then His friend claimed that His fully built Integra GSR squeezing 75 shot Nitrous (no turbo) runs 11's. I about died from laughter and I called him on it. So is there any truth that anyone can make of this? By the way I am supposed to race him this friday IF he comes out.
 
If he runs a 98mph trap, your going to piss on him. About the Integras there is a few running 10s all motor, I don't know if that helps at all. Just run them (not for money).

98mph is way too low for a 400hp car.
 
a 13.7 at 98mph? that is b/s for one, even with a perfect launch. mph should be around 105 or so. syclones and typhons are AWD, so that wheelie b/s he talk about, yeah, just no.

Not even man, 98 mph is a good trap for a 13.7. Besides the guy claimed to run a mid 12 at 98 mph ... not 13.7. For a 12.7 I'd think about 108 traps?
 
these things ran 13.5s stock so watch out if he has any work done. if you need proof of the 13.5 i'll bring up a sight
 
A twin turbo setup for a mustang 4.6 is about $5.5k-$6k, that only includes turbos($2k at most retail), ic piping($500 at most) and a somewhat decent intercooler(about $800). No fuel control or tunning included, no internals the help with the added pressure. V8 guys get ripped new ones when the want forced induction other than a blower or s/c.

PS. that is for the cheapo kit...they can get ALOT more exspensive...and thats just the street setups :rolleyes:
