Does anyone here have an aluminum pipe for their recirc? I heard that it generates a pretty interesting sound rather than the plain old rubber piping. I have my Greddy RS recirc'd with a rubber pipe and when it blows off I hear litterally nothing, only a slight pop. Just wondering if anyone here has done it and how.

Because of my FMIC setup I had to use some pipe (probably copper or brass but coated in chrome, it's a plumbing piece) to attach my BOV to the intake. I really didn't notice a difference in going from the stock to metal. You do notice a big difference from going from the stock rubber intake/intake box to a metal intake and cone filter.

A big difference in what? Sound or Performance? Because I just ordered a dejontool metal intake pipe and I was wondering if I should recirc it with another metal peice or just use rubber.

My friend Pete has the type RS with a stock rubber recirc hose, and you can barely hear it as well. When I first got my car I had stock intake pipe, a K&N cone filter, and the stock rubber hose, and you could REALLY hear my Greddy Type-S very well. It was amplified further by the hard Injen Intake pipe.

So to answer your question, I don't believe that swapping out your rubber hose for any type of aluminium or alloy hose will really amplify the sound of your BOV.

It all depends on the type of BOV you have. The RS is not known to be a loud BOV such as the Type-S and then HKS SSQV.

Don't bother with a metal recirc setup if you can get the rubber stock one to work with the new setup. What I was saying is that the metal/rubber rec hose doesn't make a noticeable difference. If you want the bov to be louder a cone filter and metal intake will make quite a noticeable difference.
