So, to all the mad tyte APC sheeyte haters out there, you are all f@gs with ugly cars. Altezza's are an expression of how different I am. I don't care what you say, I want a pretty car for me, that's why I want to see as many reinforcements that I am right as possible...

Where's teh Altezzaz y0! This turned into a huge discussion, but where's teh dam lightz?! I have a 1G so I'd NEVER disgrace my car with some, but I'd love to see more. The carbon fiber ones look awesome on black/dark grey 2gs as long az teh center piece is painted.

I dunno what all the bitching is about; it isn't obvious enough that this is NON-PERFORMANCE related? This is a tuner site, granted...but why bust this guy's balls when he's just trying to make his N/T look nice? Even if altezzas are considered rice it doesn't DETRACT from the performance of his car. Everyone who posted their opinions did so in vain because I'm sure he could care less about what you think of altezzas.

As for the "Performance and Show Car enthusiast" statement - if you think you can't have show and go then you're probably the type to strip down your car to shave a second off your ET. You don't belong in this forum. It's all good that you have to vent your anger towards riceboys once in a while because cometics to you = rice, and your car is probably faster because you don't put rice on your car

There should be a balance of both style/performance. I think the whole issue has been exhausted so many times but this time I just have to vent

Exactly. I have to laugh every time I see some street car with the interior stripped out to try to save a second on their E.T. In my opinon it is just not practical for a daily driver. But to each his own. If they want to drive around with no interior its fine with me.

DSMNATE, you are taking this thread too serious, I dont know if you were talking to me or not,but I dont remember calling anyone a ricer(maybe I have,i'm not sure) wasn't intended to offend anyone(sounds like are getting offended a bit) I'm not tryin to convert anyone in the non- performance section either and you all cant convert me to your "look at my car" lifesyle , Why do I post here? beacuse its entertaining and thats why it has over a 1000 views and 6 pages of BS.

here's a good example: that Yellow turbo Type R that was in SCC ultimate street car challenge was a "Performance showcar" trying to show his performance side, and sucked at everything besides looking pretty on the carpet

I wasn't talking to you but the reason I am taking it seriously isn't because I am offended or anything like that. I am just sick of seeing people who ask questions get bashed because they like something that a "Hardcore Performance Person" on this site doesn't. Especially when that person hasn't even posted in the Performance setion of the website.

I don't have a "Look at my car" Lifestyle. I like to attend shows but I am not an attention whore by any means. Those kind of people annoy the hell out of me just as much as they do you I'm sure. If someone likes my car fine, if they don't thats fine too. I could really care less.

As far as the "Performance Showcar" issue I am sure we could both point out some cars on either side of the issue. Ok maybe the Yellow Type-R that you are talking about didn't perform well but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have the capability of it. The person who owns it just doesn't know how to tune it or drive it. If all those performance parts were on a car without all the show stuff and it was owned by a "Performace Enthusiast" then it would perform well. I wasn't saying every show car is a performance car as well I was saying that it isn't impossible to have a show car that is also a performance car.

That is crazy that people don't think it's possible for a person to want a fast/good looking car. I know that both of them are a serious part of my car. Some people are more performance some people are looks. I know since i drive my car daily that i want it to look good but in the same breath be able to trash the car next to me at the red light. Why would one need to be performance, performance, performance just to go to work or school???

Theres only 1 person I have respect for on this thread that applied the subject of the thread, and thats Tom Sawyer. He combined his appearance with speed, pleanty of it. On top of it, hes cool and has know how about how his car functions and has alot of mods to back this up. Hes not some ricer sporting all show no go, claiming he has a 75 shot of Zex and a MaAd TyTe TuNaBlE mUfFlAh and SuPaChArGa yOoOoO running 12's ON A CAMARO TRANSMISSION (Like the originator of this thread ) What does that tell you about his preference? And hes fitting in quit nicely with a thread like this.

I don't know if you were replying to me but I was not crying about anything. I was simply stating that I am tired of seeing people continually get bashed on this board in threads like this.

I don't like the look of chrome altezza's but I do think the black of CF look good on a dark car. I have CF Altezza's because I decided I liked the look of them on my black car. I don't feel the need to defend myself or reinsure that it looks good by having someone tell me that it does. But it really doesn't matter. The fact is that you will always have your opinion and others will always have their opinion and there is no reason to try to force your opinion on another person. I was not trying to force my opinion on anyone in this thread. Like I said, I could care less about the altezza issue. I laugh just as much as the next guy at a car that is all "Riced" out.

What I got mad about with this thread was the fact that every time any topic that could be considered "rice" comes up on this forum all of the "RICE POLICE" come out and feel they need to bash the person who asked the question along with everyone else who replied to the thread. Honestly I could care less if anyone likes altezzas on anyone else's car.

1. This is a thread about some guy who wants to see all the different altezza-type lights out there. Granted, there's a red GST running around here with them with a full set on. Personally I don't like it, but that's just one of the many altezza designs out there, I like the CF ones too, and I think the all red clear lenses are kinda nice too, and the APC eurolite ones look pretty unique, although i've only seen it once in a post here on DSMtuners. pointis, there are some that actually look good and enhance aesthetics.

2. For Neo Racer, DSMnate issued you a challenge, either show us something and back up what you're saying or simply do not ever come to the Non-performance section

IMO Chris, I thought you car was absolutely georgious. Then I notices you had tezziez. It didnt ruin your car, but it sure as hell ruined the nice clean flow of the car IMO.
