No it can't.

Actually it can. I don't know about you but the (what you would call "rice") industry is definately a multibillion dollar industry. So it's obvious that enough people out there like altezza's, kits and all the stuff that you would consider "rice"

Sorry, I didn't know I was talking to you.

The fast food industry is a multi-billion dollar industry as well and over 60% of the population is over-weight....is that practical as well?

The tobacco industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and thousands of Americans die each year to lung cancer....practical?

Wouldn't it be more practical for someone on a "tight budget" and unhappy with their car to save what they would spend on "rice" and invest it into a better vehicle:confused:

If they don't like their car yea that would make alot of sense. But where do you see people saying they don't like their cars. They want the body kits and the lights and all that stuff so they feel good about their cars. They don't want the plain ole "odds and ends" like you have (whatever they may be)

P.S.
if you don't want people to comment on your little posts then PM whoever you want to talk to;)

Why would you change something on your car unless you weren't happy with the original??

Why would you change something on your car unless you weren't happy with the original?? [/B][/QUOTE]

u are not being serious are u???? cmon whats the fun in lookin at the same ol plain stuff the car came with...... be rational dude...thats like the saying "there is no pvssy like new pvssy..."

Why would you change something on your car unless you weren't happy with the original??
And may I ask what are you doing in a tuning forum? even if this is the non-performance section? Same way where not exactly happy with factory components like the turbo, the BOV and a bunch of things, we're also not that happy with the way our wheels/bodykit/wing/lights look

can nobody understand the is the NON-PERFORMANCE forum which includes lighting. Any way i think altezzas look good. They are cheap to exscpecialy if your like me, still in high school trying to make a car payment...you dont have enough money to slap on a turbo kit or anything. If you dont like altezzas dont post ok. and i know people are gonna post saying stuff about my car pretty soon but my car is All Show and No Go . I know its slow.

Either to be different, Faster or "Improve" the look. not that you have to be unhappy with your car, it doesn't hurt to make it look better. You can't tell me that our cars wouldn't look boring as hell if everyone was still stock. Also how come nobody ever trashes rims. rims aren't stock and alot of times they don't improve performance? Just think of it as dressing yourself. Would you rather everyone wear black and white. Or people to be able to wear whatever they please?

Gee you have to get rid of your open sunroof too because it does nothing for

Performance = opening it is drag

safety = rain inside the cabin is not safe

comfort = bad hair day?

Well that means you're not happy with it the way it was then.:shhh: People aren't happy with the sound quality of their stock stereo...so they put a new and better one in. You're not happy with the size and style or style of your stock rims...so you buy new different ones. People wouldn't mod their car if they were perfectly happy with it. There's no point, it would be a waste of money and time.

It's not that I disagree with modding a car, I just disagree with how some people mod their car. For someone to openly admit their car is rice and then say it's "practical" only because they're on a tight budget is just silly.

I dont see why ppl have to hate on other ppl becuase of thier opinion. If you dont like it and thinks its rice thats fine but why push your opinion on someone, for this thread it should be like mom used to say if you dont have naything nice to say dont say anything at all!

I don't think anyone in the world is "PERFECTLY" happy. That would mean that they think that their car is perfect. I am very very happy with my car but i want to get some things done to it. I just think this "rice" thing has gone too far. From my understanding anyone with any nonperformance part is considered rice. People abuse the word. but i definately understand you when you say people use a tight budget as an excuse.

I definetly wouldn't go as far to say that. I think it has alot to do with attitude and bad taste. Everyone has different taste though...which is why there's no one definition or universal example.

I aplaud mods. I love mods. I have heard enough, however, out of the crowd that does not want to TUNE. Non-performance mods are not limited to fashion trends and reverse tuning (aerodynamic drag caused by disproportionate wings and kits/ performance mods). You want opinions on body kits? Accept the negative ones as well, or you can simply label the thread "Please kiss my a$$, I need to be reafirmed that looking fast is still cool".

and it weighs less than the stock so that could be a performace upgrade

Always exceptions to the rules huh???? Who's to say everybody elses kits aren't lighter than stock.

Gee I guess i have to turn down a set of free 18" sponsor wheels because they weight more than stock and will hurt my 0-60 times.

You can come up with a better answer than it s free and lighter than stock. Cripes lighter by how much? 5 pounds? you could get rid of the same weight by not eating for a day.

then see how much "performance" you'd gain

You'd be surprised just how much weight reduction can affect your performance and yes, every little pound counts...because they add up. So if you're going for a fast car....yeah, it's a big deal.

Ever wonder how a 195hp Elise can aboslutley smoke a 350hp Cobra R????
