Alternator question

What kind of alternator is the best for turbocharged DSM???

yeah just any bosch alternator will work just fine

Xnenux, the link didn't work for me. Could you post that 800 number. If forum rules don't allow that would you mind PMing it to me?

I have similar problems to LTUDSM. Occasionally mine won't start after cranking the A/C and shutting down. Throw in an amp and I'm looking at a 50/50 chance of the car starting at all. I guess the stock alt wasn't built to actually be put to real use.

LTUDSM,

Goto the u-pull it down off of Penna ave in Morrisville, you can get an Alt out of a 1g for $10 or even an older hyundai, like the 89-98 Sonata or the 92-95 Elantra. They will all bolt up to your Alt bracket. The Alt I have in my car is from a Hyundai from that same Junkyard, I had it tested at Trenton Starter & Generator for $5, so for under $20 and an hour of time you can have a replacement.

But before you do that find out what is really causing your battery to die!!! Check for Broken wires, or burnt wired near the Alt and Battery, also check the wiring harness that runns along the bottome of the Radiator for damage.

Thanks dude,i know what is my problem,i got the steering wheel fluid leaking down straight on my alt and alternator connections and wiress,so thats what im think is my battery keep dying,btw we should meet sometimes )
