I just wanted to know where you guys get your Alternators from.
I need to put a new one in my car, cause mine is almost dead!
Are there any hi AMP alternators for our cars?
Where can I get the best prices?

Any help would be apreciated! ;)

um... have you tryed like Autozone or Advanced auto parts. I;ve heard quite a few people buying them there
Here's one i found for you: Click Here

Yeah of course I know about AutoZone and Advance
I was just wondering if they sell them some were else, online....

OE would be the way to go, and if youre looking for a higher amp alternator try a canadian one. The USDM alterntors are only a 70 amps, while the canadian ones are 90amps.

I've used Autozone and Pepboys alternators, some last a month some last 3 months some last 6 months and some will make it 2 years. Why go through the hassle of having to swap your alt over and over.

Alterstart has ripped off me as well as another nyc dsm member, I wouldnt trust them. If others have had good luck with them, it must be their good or mine bad.

I'd go OEM. Worth the extra money.

When my alternator died I called all around for best price and the dealer was over 300 and napa and pep boys where 150-200, so I got it from autozone for like 130 for a rebuilt. It comes with a warranty so if it breaks you can get a new one for free. Just get autozones, if it breaks they will replace it and it only takes like 25 minutes max to change an alternator.

ive been through 3 napa alternators, meaning my car died 3 times on the road. i would suggest getting quality ones. all mine were replaced for free but im pretty sure my 4th alternators about to give up the ghost. my int lights will occasionally go out at WOT which i believe is pointing to the voltage regulator..go figure
